Is Dax too American?

I'm really keen on names that have an X or the nickname could possibly have the letter X.

I know Daxton exists but not sure I like it. Doesn't feel like a real name for some reason. I feel Dax is just easy, simple and very straightforward but I'm wondering if it might be too American or forever be linked to Dax Shepard

Dax is a symbiont life form in Star Trek.

Greatorix is Anglo-Saxon meaning great path

Dax reminds me of Drax power station.

Wasn't the baby who was born in America while the British parents were on holiday and pocketed loads of crowdfunded money to cover the bills and then some called Dax?

Alex

I know a Dax, in his 40s, really doesn't suit him.

AdaColeman · 05/06/2020 17:32

Dax is too much like a brand name for my taste, probably super snug cycling gear!
What about Axel?

It's Asterix for the comic book character from Gaul not Astorix!!

CourtneyLurve · 05/06/2020 17:35

I've seen Dax as a nickname for Dakota.

Deep Space Nine (though not many people will think like me)
