Help! Baby Boy is arriving on Monday and there isn’t one single boys name that I like let alone think I want to give to my baby. Please throw every boys name at me.

What are the names of loved male relatives on either side of the family? That could be a good starting point

babynamelover · 30/05/2020 09:54

Jethro, Otis, Emmett, Beckett, Orson, Fintan, Zebediah/ Zedekiah, Moss, Enver, Hawthorne were my April faves :).

FluffyEggsontoast · 30/05/2020 10:05

WhT sort of names do you tend to prefer? Traditional? Modern sounding? Lots of syllables with a nickname?

Are you bothered about popularity? Would you like something popular or more unusual?

What girls names do you like? Help us out here

Honestly, don't stress about it. Let him arrive, have a few days with him and it will come to you. There's absolutely no need to put any pressure on yourself to choose now.

Good luck!

OnABeachSomewhere · 30/05/2020 10:24

I suggest you pick a classic name which your child can make their own mark on. Luke, James, William, Alexander, Edward.

wishfull888 · 30/05/2020 10:38

I felt exactly the same but was sure it would be a girl.... boys names are tricky! We called him Benjamin & he gets Benji. Good luck !

Agree with PP- we need to know what you would call a girl.

GuiltyBark · 30/05/2020 10:44

I've always loved Joseph and wish I'd used it. Joe is a nice nickname.

FourPlasticRings · 30/05/2020 10:46

Agree with PP, no need to rush now. Took us over a week to name DD and all was well. There's something to be said for just seeing what suits them when they're here.

Sorry I love loads of different types of girls names. Things like Rosie and Lily but also things like Elisabeth and Catherine. I like things like Mia as well. A wide spectrum of girls names.

I agree, choose a classic name he can make a mark on. With a shortening you don't mind because boys usually shorten whatever name they have. Well, that's what I did anyway, and my DD has one of the girl's names you have listed.

Do you like trendy or traditional. What names don't you like. That might help with what people suggest.
