Emerald - classy or trashy?

Looking for opinions please, we have our boys name selected but struggling to agree on a girls.
DH has suggested Emerald...I actually quite like it and could imagine the nn Eme/Emmy. It would also go with our surname which is only 3 letters.
We know people called Emma and Emily so they're out of the question.
What is everyone's thoughts on it? I've never met one so don't know how it would be perceived.

Funny, I don’t think of it as trashy at all. The only one I know is from very Sloaney, minor aristocracy type family.
