Violet or Vivienne?

My partner and I cannot agree on a baby name!

Vivienne Lila (his choice)
or
Violet Ava (my choice)

Please help us decide!

Another vote for Vivienne Lila.

Violet just reminds me of Violet Beauregard in Charlie and the chocolate factory.

I love both ♡ think I'm leaning slightly more towards Violet Ava... personally though I would go for Violet Ada, that way you'll get rid of the double "v" sound that someone mentioned.

I prefer the sound of Vivian to Vivienne. Vivienne is too frilly and most will probably say Vivian anyway or call her Viv. If Vivian isn't an option then Violet by default.

Ahhh. Violet was my choice both times with my DS's!! Love it. Love Vivienne too. Both lovely choices and pretty.

Sounds like a 1940's beautiful elegant moviestar. Love it!

Violet by a mile. Classy, pretty yet understated, and quite unique as names go these days. I’ve only ever met an older Violet.

I adore Vivienne. It's on my list for a future DD. Another vote for Vivienne Lila.

Seems like it's pretty even for each so I think we'll make the final decision when she's born and we see her.

They are both incredibly beautiful names.

Violet is absolutely gorgeous.

Vivienne sounds very harsh and a bit old lady but without the vintage feel.

I prefer Vivienne, Violet seems very popular atm and flower names for girls... Meh.

But maybe there's room for compromise, Vivienne Violet is an option, or Vivienne Ava, no ?

Vivienne is one of my favourite names too, Im biased so Id pick that and vivi is such a cute nickname (viv-ee) , I would mic the two and name her Vivienne Ava

I love both names though do prefer Vivienne. I had an auntie Violet who was known to us all as auntie Vi. Her husband called her violence though ( in a nice way!)

I would also do Vivienne Violet- that’s an exceptionally beautiful combination

Vivian, is my preferred spelling and the one that popped up on predictive text.

I prefer Vivian to Violet, it seems different to the loads of flower names that are so popular just now.
