Atticus is my absolute fav!

theseriousmoonlight · 23/04/2020 15:58

I really like Thor. It's a lot to live up to in a name though.

I have 2 unusual names on my list:
Torben
Osbert

Whitney101 · 23/04/2020 15:59

Axel

steppemum · 23/04/2020 16:00

Atticus is the only one I would use. I love th esound of it, and the association with To Kill A Mocking Bird.

Thor is a great sounding name, but I couldn't name my son after this god, it sets up way to many expectation, what if he is a gentle little artistic soul!!

Locke - hmm, just doesn;t do it for me. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't jump out.

Quitthat · 23/04/2020 16:01

If I was brave, totally 100% Locke.

Then Atticus (though is more bookish in my mind than "cool").

Thor is too much!

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/04/2020 16:03

I know someone that knows a Thor. He loves his name. Her child is called Zeus so it's a thing!

Are your family tall, blond, meaty and so on? A [[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/shilpit]] dark-haired Thor wouldn't be a good look.

Not Locke. His theories were a bit mean and selfish

Atticus is OK. .

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/04/2020 16:03

I buggered that link up. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/shilpit

Nonnymum · 23/04/2020 16:05

Attics. Thor is too much for a child to live up to.

BuffaloCauliflower · 23/04/2020 16:07

Atticus is great. Thor is cool but agree with PPs that it’s just too much to live up to! Locke I don’t love, but I’m not into surnames as first names

userabcname · 23/04/2020 16:07

I like Atticus best. Atlas is a pretty cool name.

Joffrey · 23/04/2020 16:08

I'd go with Atticus. I don't like Thor at all and Locke sounds quiet American to my ear.

Cassius
Cassian

Jethro
Jonah
Jago
Caspar
Jasper
Nate
Hector
Willem
Xavier
Zeph

Toilenstripes · 23/04/2020 16:15

Atticus but only because I don’t like the other two. Although tbh, I think Atticus sounds a bit pretentious. It’s the Dashiell of the 2020s. Sorry. 😬

Marimari93 · 23/04/2020 16:17

Locke for me Smile

HerRoyalCarbyLess · 23/04/2020 16:18

Attics definitely.

I know a Midas and an Odin. Cool names, but they don't live up to them, both being very quiet, gentle boys.

Umnoway · 23/04/2020 16:20

I only like Atticus.

RoryGilmoree · 23/04/2020 16:21

Atticus is lovely. I like Sage, Fox, Indio, Cosmo, Iggy, Perseus, Apollo, Ember, Enzo, Bram, Huxley, Lazlo (sp?), Teo, Scout

Locke reminds me of lochia- sorry
Nothing against Thor I just think it's a bit much

I'm not brave enough to use them though Grin

Acaciaqu · 23/04/2020 16:24

Thanks everyone! I can truly see what all of you are saying!

Atticus for me too. I agree Thor is an awful lot to live up to! Cool names: Hunter, Kit, Seth, Beauden, Bram, Ferris.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/04/2020 16:38

Otis. Dexter. Tay. Rio. Asa. Colby. Rex.

K1999 · 23/04/2020 16:39

Atticus is awesome!! And just Cus it sounds cool 😆

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/04/2020 16:39

Out of your list I like Locke

K1999 · 23/04/2020 16:40

K1999 · 23/04/2020 16:40

Acaciaqu · 23/04/2020 16:42
