@Figgyroles i've actually heard that and will do further research because I only like the name itself never had anything to do with who Atticus Finch was.

Thor out of that list. I have never really understood what Atticus would get shortened to.

They are all cool. I would pick Locke as I feel Thor is a lot to live up to.

Well what's the point of the first name? Just give them the middle name as a first name if that's what they'll be known as

I like Atticus the best but I hear it all the time at the kids’ school. Same with Axel and Otto. Those are 3 names I loved and still do. But they’re more popular now. Lots of early years kids have these names. Go with what you love though, OP.

The coolest name I can think of is Uther. Pronounced Oo-thur. King Arthur’s father. I can’t understand why it’s not used, really. Much more sexy and exciting than Arthur, which I’m afraid I find very dull.

Wulfric and then he can be Wolfie for a nickname.

Atticus is my favourite out of those. Asa is the coolest name I ever heard (IMO!) If I ever persuade DP to have another baby it will be too if my name list!

Thor is fine, pronounced Tor I think.A bit cartoon character though.
Locke seems a bit feminine, and don't use it if the surname is Smith.
Atticus says Mummy has only read one book and that was cos it was on the GCSE syllabus.

Based on personal experience being known by your middle name causes all sorts of problems with banks etc so i wouldn't recommend doing that

Those are character names more than kid names. Think about your child trying to navigate the world with the name you've given him.
I also agree with @helpmum2003, going by a middle name can make things really tedious for the serious stuff in life, so don't do that.
