I love the names
Elijah
Isiah
Jonah
Rupert
Atticus

My partner likes
George (one of our ds middle name 🙄)
Gabriel (rhymes with another ds name 🙄)
Philip (this does not go with any of our other children’s names at all)
Thor (it’s okay)

After much debate We settled on Stanley for him to say 8 weeks on that he’s changed his mind. We’ve spent a good hour or 2 going through names today and we just can’t agree. We had to stop as he says my ideas were ridiculous but his are even more so to me!

Any idea of a name that might suit both our tastes? 🙈

My mum said had I been a boy, I probably still wouldn't have a name, 47 years later! Grin They just could not agree on a boy's name!

I love Thor (Thorus), because I know one. He's in his 50's and just a wonderful man. He always gets compliments on his name. How about...

Evan
Hudson
Hayden
Devin
Asa
Xander

Kezmum14 · 18/04/2020 23:33

We have an Asa :)
I love Evan but know a little girl with the name so my partner can’t see it as a boys name.

I have a feeling this baby may not have a name either 🤣😂

Oh dear Confused

So you have an Asa, what are your other DCs called?

It seems that he likes pretty classic names (apart from Thor Grin) whereas you like slightly more unusual ones - yours aren't hugely "out there", though, and while a couple are not to my taste I don't think there is anything hugely controversial in either list. I'm sure you will be able to find something.

Atm my favourite boy's name is Ivo.
We can make other suggestions but it would be helpful to know your other DCs names to get a sense of what you managed to agree on!

Overseasmom100 · 18/04/2020 23:39

Love Elijah

Kezmum14 · 18/04/2020 23:41

Noah, Zebedee, Asa and Abel
I named Zeb and he named Abel (sons of anarchy fan).

I like old names but that aren’t hugely popular. There weren’t any Noah's 16 years ago when he was named.

I don’t feel like we have long left to choose a name 😬

Your children’s names are great!
Seth
Jesse
Jude
Jorah
Jago
( I like J namesGrin )

Notonmyshift · 18/04/2020 23:47

Tobias
Xander
Rex
Moses
Jude
Harrison
Robson
Caleb
Kia
Cy

NameChange30 · 18/04/2020 23:50

Ok so Old Testament names then Grin

Your DH's suggestions would not go AT ALL!

I met a "Zeke" short for Ezekiel at a baby group. Although maybe not an option as you already have a Zeb.

How about...
Ethan
Ezra
Isaac
Jacob (Jake)
Joel
Joshua
Jude
Levi
Reuben
Saul
Seth
Simon
Tobias (Toby)
Zachary

I love Old Testament names for boys (my son's name is in the above list).

MrsEricBana · 18/04/2020 23:51

Great names! Jude leaps at me as number 5.

NameChange30 · 18/04/2020 23:52

PS I hope you don't mind me saying I'm glad you decided against Stanley, it definitely seems the dud option compared to your other children's names!

MrsEricBana · 18/04/2020 23:52

Ezra and Isaac work too

Kezmum14 · 18/04/2020 23:56

@NameChange30Can you imagine Noah, Zeb, Asa, Abel and Phil. I think he’s lost the plot! 🤣
Only names on your list i haven’t suggested are Simon, Ethan and Jacob as I know people with these names. He doesn’t like any apparently 🙈

I love Tobias, Seth, Rex and Jude. Will see how they go down tomorrow

NameChange30 · 18/04/2020 23:58

Well if he doesn't like any then he can push the baby out and decide 🙄
Men who are this difficult about naming decisions do annoy me.

Kezmum14 · 18/04/2020 23:58

@Cbeebiesrehab @MrsEricBana thank you ☺️

Gabriel is the only one on his list which "goes" with the others but it rhymes with Abel FFS

ShowOfHands · 19/04/2020 00:02

I love Abraham (Bram) and have a Raphael (Raph).

babycakes1010 · 19/04/2020 00:03

Ellis

Kezmum14 · 19/04/2020 00:03

We discussed maybe the nn Gabby but neither of us would use it so he’d definitely get called Gabe so no good although we may use Gabriel as a middle name. We literally fo round in circles.

gosh, five boys, it used to be a chocolate bar from fry's of bristol !
each of them had names, like desperation, anticipation etc. so no use here.
will you keep going until you get a girl !
so are you looking for another name that does not yet appear on either of your lists.
i rather like stanley. what about sidney. robert. james. christopher. stephen. patrick. david. andrew. joseph. benjamin. frederick. peter.

Tillygetsit · 19/04/2020 00:05

Lemuel?

Kezmum14 · 19/04/2020 00:06

I’ve suggested Ellis and it’s a no. 😢
I love Abraham but trying to stay clear of another A name. Although Bram is cool so will suggest it tomorrow. :)

Walkon · 19/04/2020 00:06

Sebastian

whirlwinds · 19/04/2020 00:11

Xander?

Kezmum14 · 19/04/2020 00:11

@alexdgr8 I’d love 6 boys but we will have to see what the future holds. :) I can’t imagine being a Mum to a girl. The boys are all so chilled out and loving. My friends daughters are lovely but even lovelier when returned home 🤣
Yes, a name on neither list that I perhaps haven’t seen before.

OP posts:
Kezmum14 · 19/04/2020 00:14

@Walkon love it but we have a Zeb so would get confusing. I sometimes think i could only ever use a full name but even Asa gets called Ace or Acey and I didn’t think it could ever be shortened or given a nn
