Boy name help! We just can’t agree.

Philip (this does not go with any of our other children’s names at all)

After much debate We settled on Stanley for him to say 8 weeks on that he’s changed his mind. We’ve spent a good hour or 2 going through names today and we just can’t agree. We had to stop as he says my ideas were ridiculous but his are even more so to me!

Any idea of a name that might suit both our tastes? 🙈

My mum said had I been a boy, I probably still wouldn't have a name, 47 years later! They just could not agree on a boy's name!

I love Thor (Thorus), because I know one. He's in his 50's and just a wonderful man. He always gets compliments on his name. How about...

So you have an Asa, what are your other DCs called?

It seems that he likes pretty classic names (apart from Thor ) whereas you like slightly more unusual ones - yours aren't hugely "out there", though, and while a couple are not to my taste I don't think there is anything hugely controversial in either list. I'm sure you will be able to find something.

Atm my favourite boy's name is Ivo.
We can make other suggestions but it would be helpful to know your other DCs names to get a sense of what you managed to agree on!

I named Zeb and he named Abel (sons of anarchy fan).

I like old names but that aren’t hugely popular. There weren’t any Noah's 16 years ago when he was named.

We discussed maybe the nn Gabby but neither of us would use it so he’d definitely get called Gabe so no good although we may use Gabriel as a middle name. We literally fo round in circles.

@alexdgr8 I’d love 6 boys but we will have to see what the future holds. :) I can’t imagine being a Mum to a girl. The boys are all so chilled out and loving. My friends daughters are lovely but even lovelier when returned home 🤣
