Boy name help! We just can’t agree.

Gabriel (rhymes with another ds name 🙄)
Philip (this does not go with any of our other children’s names at all)

After much debate We settled on Stanley for him to say 8 weeks on that he’s changed his mind. We’ve spent a good hour or 2 going through names today and we just can’t agree. We had to stop as he says my ideas were ridiculous but his are even more so to me!

Any idea of a name that might suit both our tastes? 🙈

My favourite Old Testament name is Oren.

How about Levison - nn. Levi?

Love OT names and your boys’ names. Agree that your DH’s suggestions don’t go! I love Gabriel but Gabe would not go with our surname at all - we are toying with using the nn Gael (Which would solve your rhyming problem) but I’m not sure how much you can force a nn!

Agree Jonah would be fab (it’s our current #1) and Seth works too.

@bridgetreilly we call Abel ‘Abe’ and I’m sure we’d end up shortening Gabriel to ‘Gabe’. We discussed the nn Gabby but we aren’t keen. But Gabriel is a top contender as it’s one we both like and if we don’t use it as a first name it will definitely be his middle name.

I really don't get this thing where people think siblings names have to "go" together. What's the reason for it? You're naming an individual, an adult who will have a life entirely separate from their siblings. If you like Philip just call him that.
