It's brilliant and underused, bet he will be the only one in his class. Also love Derrick

Topseyt · 02/04/2020 19:52

I am married to one. I don't dislike it as a name, but wouldn't have chosen it if we had had boys.

EasyTarget · 02/04/2020 19:52

No.

Carrie7469 · 02/04/2020 19:52

No

BrooHaHa · 02/04/2020 19:53

I like it. For me it's been somewhat ruined by Monty Python, but I taught a lovely little Brian a while back and it really suited him.

NemophilistRebel · 02/04/2020 19:53

How about Keith or Gary ?

WomanIsTaken · 02/04/2020 19:56

Duchess Grin

ClassicallyConditioned · 02/04/2020 20:21

MondeoFan · 02/04/2020 20:23

Yes. It's my Dads name. He is 71 it's always served him well

DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2020 21:49

Is it a coincidence or is this at least the third recent thread asking exactly the same question about the name Brian? Confused

Mulanlin · 02/04/2020 23:10

No

MikeUniformMike · 03/04/2020 18:38

Threads on the same name happen quite often @DramaAlpaca.
Often when the name gets panned in them.

I like Brian and think it has lots more character than the Arlos and Otises .

sugarcherry · 03/04/2020 18:40
Confused
EmpressLangClegInChair · 03/04/2020 18:41

Are you in Hull, OP?

Whatsyourflava · 03/04/2020 18:46

I like it. It’s cute.

Staffori · 04/04/2020 00:43

I know too many old men called Brian to like it.

WhatWouldYouDoWhatWouldJesusDo · 04/04/2020 00:45

I know a baby Brian.

I'm sure he'll grow into it........when he's 60. Hmm

PretzelVanderspling · 04/04/2020 00:46

I love the name Brian. Also Colin.

ladybird69 · 04/04/2020 00:49

No disrespect Op but please please no. I’m in my fifties and my class mates were all Brians, Kevin’s,colins,Justin’s,and Paul’s. I can remember these little shits vividly so in my experience no to the name now, maybe in another 2/3 generations it’ll come back into fashion. But on a plus point I’m going to go buy a goldfish and call him Brian, that sounds great.

I don't understand the dislike - it is similar to Ryan.

TheSheepofWallSt · 04/04/2020 18:31

@MikeUniformMike

Also don’t like Ryan. Not sure why. Just not keen.
