What are her brothers called?

Or if you have a Margot what were your boy names?

We have a Margot and now need a boys name but can't find anything we love.

We're considering;

Raphael
Rafe
Barnaby

Names we like but can't use;

Jasper
Casper
Toby
Chester
Rafferty

Felix, Chester and Alfred. They are all dogs, admittedly, but they’re good names!

Whatsyourflava · 12/03/2020 06:38

I love Barnaby and think it sounds perfect with Margot

Whatsyourflava · 12/03/2020 06:40

Alternatively Otis? Eric? Miles?Cole? Seth? Sidney ? Laurence (Laurie)? Rafferty? Otto? Dexter?

ArriettyJones · 12/03/2020 06:42

Simon
Hugh
Christopher

CarlottaValdez · 12/03/2020 06:43

I know two Margots. One has a brother called Henry and one has a sister called Florence.

Lllot5 · 12/03/2020 06:48

I like Jerry.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 12/03/2020 06:52

I think classic names work best

Henry
George
Edward
Max
Thomas
Joseph

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/03/2020 07:11

Oh I love Barnaby! Would've been my first choice for DS but DH wouldn't have it. Goes beautifully with Margot.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 12/03/2020 07:23

Oh, and my second choice would've been Silas, if that helps. Again, I was overruled!

Eleanor90 · 12/03/2020 07:29

Alfred

CMMum88 · 12/03/2020 07:42

My daughters middle name is Margot .

Boys names we like are Henry, Theodore, Oliver and Brook.

Namemybaby · 12/03/2020 08:25

Thanks all, interesting people like Barnaby! My family have not been keen, not that it puts me off Grin

I love Laurie but don't love Laurence...

I like some of the other suggestions, thank you!

Any other suggestions very welcome!

Margot and Barnaby are great together.

Baby naming 101, don't tell people in real life what names you're considering. Present the baby and its name when it's born, hopefully people will be too polite to complain then.

Adelais · 12/03/2020 09:47

I don’t know any Margot but it’s my daughters middle name and the boys names on our list were
Rufus
Jago
Vincent
Otis
Franklin

I know a baby Margot who has a big brother called Sonny!

Nonnymum · 13/03/2020 14:35

Lllot5
I like Jerry.

Are you a fan of The Good Life?
OP all your preferred names sound nice with Margo. I think Barnby is the nicest. Or how about
Sebastian
Arthur
Oscar
Benjamin
Theo

Lllot5 · 13/03/2020 18:10

@Nonnymum you got me!
I love Margot actually.
I like it spelled Margaux too.

MargotMoon · 13/03/2020 18:22

Sorry I can't help; I don't have any siblings and my real name isn't Margot

IckleBear · 13/03/2020 18:33

Margot and Luca
Margot and Hugo
Margot and Oscar
Margot and Linus
Margot and Otis

Parrotpie · 13/03/2020 18:38

Rupert?

MagnusMama · 13/03/2020 18:40

My DS would have been a Margot, had he been a girl!
So Magnus.
I also had on my boys list:
Cosmo
Arlo
Duncan
Arthur
Milo

But I'm thinking you'd need to avoid names ending in 'o'?
I also know one whose brother is Albert.

Emthebaker · 13/03/2020 18:53

I know a Margot with brothers Charlie and George.

I’d say it goes really well with Barnaby though!

timetest · 13/03/2020 18:57

Margot was my mother’s sister’s name, their brother was Maurice.

emsyj37 · 13/03/2020 19:01

My DMum is called Margot. Her brother is called Michael.
Barnaby/Barney is lovely. Lots of other nice suggestions on here too.
