So far the ones my husband and I both like are:

Raven
Aerith (pronounced Air-ith)
Freya (I'm not 100% as it's very popular)
Winter or Autumn (unsure of these myself as baby will be born in the summer)
Scarlett

Opinions on these and please add more.

Raven and Aerith are awful to my ears
Freya is lovely and has been declining numbers wise year on year since 2011 so is much less common than it used to be so just mention incase you want to factor in
Autumn and winter are gorgeous and I’d use them any time of the year and wouldn’t think twice. Are all the “June’s” born in June? I’ve got a half relative called June and honestly never even occurred to ask her if her birthdays in June.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/03/2020 22:41

I only like Freya. Scarlett is nice but I don’t like it.
I certainly wouldn’t have Autumn or Winter I’f she’s due in Summer. That’s just me though. I’m confident a lot of posters will come along and tell you it’s fine

Violet. Harriet. Aurora. Summer. Coral. Linnet. Iris. Hazel. Brooke.

Love both Autumn and Winter from your list.
Raven makes me think of dark things...

erised · 08/03/2020 23:13

We are quite an "alternative" couple (urgh hate using that word), both into heavy metal, fantasy, horror movies, tattoos etc so Raven kind of fits our family Grin

I know at least 3 Scarletts and more Freya’s although that wouldn’t stop me if I really liked it.

Raven reminds of me a programme on TV a while ago. Aerith is lovely as is Winter (not personally keen on Autumn).

As for suggestions, I loved Skyler but OH want keen.

Littleshortcake · 08/03/2020 23:24

Well if you love Raven and it suits your family then go for it!

Just throwing out a few names that might work.
Hazel, Zara, Ruby, Wren

OhNoNoNoNotThatOne · 08/03/2020 23:31

Name her after one of the bands you like/lead singer of a band. You could even go for a really traditional name that's declined in use.
My favourites are:
Amaryllis
Elsbeth
Stirling
Ophelia
Lucille
Georgia

BackyardChickens · 08/03/2020 23:32

Orla
Zena
Nova
Briar
Agnus
Hazel
Nell
Nancy

Raven kind of fits our family

I get you, I really do, we had to have a word with ourselves as have several of our friends the same over baby name choices. It might fit your family as it stands now, but they grow into little people with minds & tastes of their own. Often very different from yours. Don't saddle her with such an inflexible name. Find one that works for you AND her

Astronica · 09/03/2020 01:51

I like all the names on your list. However I wouldn't use Raven irl, and Scarlett and Freya are a bit too popular for me, though I do particularly like Scarlett. Aerith is kind of cool I think, though has had a bad reception on this site. I think Ravenna is more usable than Raven. I also like Autumn and Winter, and would have no problem with the season they are born in. My favourites are Autumn, Scarlett and Aerith.

Whatsyourflava · 09/03/2020 09:23

@BrokenMumTeenDD yeh I did read once in some article online “never pick a name for your child just to try and reflect your own personality to others”
It did stick with me.

Whatsyourflava · 09/03/2020 09:26

Oh Scarlett is lovely, I never spotted that on the list til now
Another name that gets more rare each and every year. Numbers have declined year on year since 2011 so by the time your baby is born it will be even more unusual

Disneymum1993 · 09/03/2020 09:28

Amara , orlaith , seren

DoctorBambino · 09/03/2020 09:51

Raven - I really like it but wouldn't have the confidence to use it myself. It's a very defining name and I couldnt for example imagine a little blonde girl called Raven as it makes me think of dark hair.

Aerith (pronounced Air-ith) - Love it but will surely see a huge rise because of the FFVII remake

Freya - I love it, a beautiful name

Winter or Autumn - I love both of these but do kind of assume they would be born in that season. I think they would both make a lovely middle name.

Scarlett - not keen, makes me think of bright red and I dont like bright red Smile

DoctorBambino · 09/03/2020 09:56

Other potential ideas based on my interpretation of the overall theme of the names you have suggested so far...

Aura, Elodie, Fae, Kiara, Lorelai, Pandora, Zella

PopcornAndWine · 09/03/2020 09:57

Aerith? Final Fantasy fan OP?
