Our baby girl is due next Tuesday. I can’t believe it, woohoo!
Sooo my partner has been favouring Molly, where I quite like Mollie. But now I don’t know lol! What does everyone think? Or do we have to flip a coin? WinkGrin

Well seeing it’s my friend Molly’s birthday today, I think that’s a sign for you!

DramaAlpaca · 17/02/2020 12:17

Molly.

Mollie makes a sweet name a bit too twee.

TrippingOnSunshine · 17/02/2020 12:17

I prefer Molly. Otherwise it's a lifetime of "with an ie"

iusedtohavechickens · 17/02/2020 12:24

I agree with @TrippingOnSunshine our dd is Lucie and I'm forever even after 18 years having to say with an ie. clearly hadn't thought it through when picking out her name 😖

Clangus00 · 17/02/2020 12:25

Molly.
Definitely choose a correctly spelled name.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 17/02/2020 12:28

Molly. It's a MUCH nicer name without the 'circle over the i' potential. I've come across Hollie and Poppie too, I just don't understand it...

PrincessHoneysuckle · 17/02/2020 12:29

Mollie

JollyGiraffe12 · 17/02/2020 12:31

Molly is more elegant

Peachbubble · 17/02/2020 12:49

Molly

Helini · 17/02/2020 12:54

Molly

Marcipex · 17/02/2020 12:54

Mollie

Marcipex · 17/02/2020 12:55

I like Hollie too

firsttimemomx · 17/02/2020 12:56

I like 'ie' I think it looks so much nicer, same with other names such as Aimee, Ollie etc

Emelene · 17/02/2020 12:57

Molly. I have a similar name and am forever grateful I don't have to say "with an I E" whenever I introduce myself...

damnthatanxiety · 17/02/2020 13:00

Molly is more elegant

TBF I don't think Molly is a particularly elegant name in any case. It is a nice name, cute, perky but not elegant!

CoalCraft · 17/02/2020 13:02

Molly

MillicentMartha · 17/02/2020 13:06

Molly.

Most names just look right with a Y, like Penny, Harry, Jenny, Billy, Lucy, Ruby, Peggy, whereas others look better with an IE, Hattie, Maggie, Charlie, Bonnie, Jessie. IMO

Sally99 · 17/02/2020 13:08

Molly.

IVflytrap · 17/02/2020 14:41

Molly. I think it looks nicer, plus she'll not have to correct people so much, as it's the better-known spelling.

Rockingham1 · 17/02/2020 15:25

Molly

Whatsyourflava · 17/02/2020 16:22

Molly. Great name! Definitely use this spelling though x

Lavenderblues · 17/02/2020 16:26

Mollie. More feminine.

Molly looks clumsy imo.

Hepsibar · 17/02/2020 16:35

Molly

Mlou32 · 17/02/2020 16:39

Molly. I always think names where the traditional spelling is with a 'y' and it's been changed to 'ie' in an attempt to appear different is a bit...tacky.

Chirpychirpy3 · 17/02/2020 20:21

Molly
