Melody and......

We have a Melody. We're looking for a girls name. We have a boy name (Barnaby) but are struggling for a girl's name and we won't find out until baby's born!

We actively don't want Harmony, Aria or any other obvious musical name.

We like less usual names. I teach so all the popular names I have met babies and children with those names, they're "taken" in my mind.

Other than that.... any suggestions please?

Liberty because its unusual, three syllables and ends in y

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/01/2020 11:30

Melody and Liberty is lovely
Otherwise:

Melody and Amber
Melody and Summer
Melody and Ruby
Melody and Iris
Melody and Honor

Melody and Liberty suggest a surname of Bell.

Have you got a new shortlist now @SpaceDinosaur

Hope we’ve helped a bit

SpaceDinosaur · 20/04/2020 21:42

I think so.

I’m also finding that I’m drawn more to 3 syllable names which is helping a little too.

First name that came to mind was Serena

Ah let us know what you choose if you can @SpaceDinosaur

Ladyface · 20/04/2020 23:01

I love Melody. My ds was going to be either Melody or Heidi if he was a girl.

MillicentMartha · 20/04/2020 23:51

Some lovely suggestions. I’d say avoid any other Captain Scarlett Angel names or any other names ending with a Y or IE and you can’t go wrong.
