Hi,
Can you please give your opinion. And preference on the following names for a boy.
They will have a brother called Luca, and their surname will be Jones.
Finn Jones or Milo Jones ?
We are very torn between the two names, and would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you
lovelyjubilly · 11/01/2020 22:55
Milo!
RuthW · 11/01/2020 22:58
Milo
Finn is half a name.
Ellmau · 11/01/2020 22:59
Milo goes better with Luca.
jannika · 11/01/2020 23:00
Milo, definitely.
Finn Jones is making me think 'fanjo'
Isthepopea · 11/01/2020 23:02
With a one-syllable surname I think you need a longer first name. So Milo.
TeetotalKoala · 11/01/2020 23:05
Milo! Gorgeous name.
DramaAlpaca · 11/01/2020 23:07
I prefer Finn, but with your surname and sibling Luca, Milo is the best choice.
Flymetothestars · 11/01/2020 23:07
Milo - great choice!!
Love Finn too though you have great taste
roiseandjim · 11/01/2020 23:18
To me Milo is a dogs name. Finn is very nice
toomanyleggings · 11/01/2020 23:36
Don't like Finn. Milo is better
Kiaa · 11/01/2020 23:46
Milo is super cute !
dj1905 · 12/01/2020 06:37
Thank you. My main concern with Milo is the dog's name reference.
Astronica · 12/01/2020 07:04
Both great names but Milo is better with the surname and with brother Luca.
BikeRunSki · 12/01/2020 07:07
Milo
I only know people with this name, no aninlmals
dj1905 · 12/01/2020 07:14
Thanks. Are you based in the UK?
BikeRunSki · 12/01/2020 07:24
Yes

Milo is a dogs name. And Finn is extremely popular (and presumably short for Finley?)
dj1905 · 12/01/2020 07:35
It is short for Finley, but has become a name in it's own right. Personally I prefer Finn to Finley. My wife prefers Finley to Finn!
Overall, she prefers Milo though.
I'm just trying to see whether I can get past the dog comparisons or not.
daisypond · 12/01/2020 07:44
Milo is better alongside Luca.
MsChatterbox · 12/01/2020 07:49
Milo.
Also sorry to do this but another suggestion... Micah (my-cah).. I have a son Micah and if my current pregnancy is a boy they will be called Luca 😊
poppydaisys · 12/01/2020 08:51
A Finn is a person from Finland!
Milo is a chocolate drink.
If I had to choose, probably Milo or Mylo
Flymetothestars · 12/01/2020 09:21
I don’t know if you come on this board often @dj1905 but people always says “that’s a dogs name” about so many names. I’d personally ignore it. Milo has grown a lot in popularity for little boys. The next generation will no way see the name as a dogs name.
I’ve seen a list of most popular dogs names and the number 1 name was Bella! There’s so many Bella’s at my local school. I really wouldn’t worry about it. There’s so many little boys now being called Rex and Rufus too. Maybe when we were growing up those names might have been a bit controversial but not anymore
Names like Fox and Wolf are being used these days and becoming increasingly popular. It’s completely different to when we were growing up
tamarisk44 · 12/01/2020 09:28
I think Finley Jones sound great, but if Finley isn't an option then Milo.
dj1905 · 12/01/2020 09:31
Thank you @Flymetothestars
I don't come on this board. I logged in last night for the first time, in a last minute panic to decide upon a name
samjacklogi88 · 12/01/2020 09:39
I like Finn
