I like Nina Rae and also Flora. Not a fan of Edna and Eva is popular. Daphne is ok.

SebandAlice · 09/01/2020 11:03

I like Nina

Hepsibar · 09/01/2020 11:11

Adora Flora!

DotBall · 09/01/2020 11:17

Nina is fab. I went to school with a Nina in the 1970s and we had a cat called Nina. Love the name.

AfterSomeAdvice1234 · 09/01/2020 11:21

Another vote for Nina!

I've never really thought about it before but I really like Nina. I think it's a great name and covers all the bases of sounding serious enough for a professional but would suit a baby/young child, pretty sounding, not complicated or over fussy. Great name!

I'm not a fan of Edna, Flora or Daphne but also not massively against them.

I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. At the point DD arrived I had a list of 6 possible boys names and girls names and very quickly ruled out 5 of the 6 girls names as she just did not look like a Phlippa etc.

Poorolddaddypig · 09/01/2020 11:50

Nina or Flora! They’re both beautiful! How can you ever choose between the two? They’re just equally lovely. Nina is a bit sassier but Flora has nn Flo which i also love! Ps: definitely not Edna!

PlantPotting · 09/01/2020 12:24

Love Nina Flora and Eva
Eva probably my favourite
Not keen on Edna. How about Edith?

Also Nora?

DailyFailAreTwats · 09/01/2020 12:25

Nina and Flora are lovely. Personally not keen on the others.

I really like Nina and Flora, and also like Eva (very popular if that’s a factor) and Daphne. I feel as though Nina is the ultimate first name in some ways - easy to spell, travels well, not too common but very classy.

I’m less keen on Edna, which sounds frumpy to my ears (sorry) and Rae, which sounds like a nickname or a bit unfinished.

user1493494961 · 09/01/2020 12:51

I only really like Flora, I suppose Nina is OK.

JacquesHammer · 09/01/2020 12:51

Nina, Flora and Daphne are lovely.

NemophilistRebel · 09/01/2020 12:52

I’d love to use both Nina and Flora and have One as a middle name but they are a bit too samey together

emmathedilemma · 09/01/2020 13:03

I think they're all ok apart from Rae which I don't like.
Eva is quite popular compared to the others.
My friend's daughter wanted to change her name to Daphne after Daphne in Scooby Doo when she was a toddler! It would have suited her too!

Spied · 09/01/2020 13:06

Nina and Eva are the only two I like

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 09/01/2020 13:18

My favourites are Flora and Daphne

BayHorse · 09/01/2020 15:27

Currently overdue with DD1 - she is going to be Daphne.

I also really like Nina & Eva on your list.

If it helps, we also considered:
Betsy
Iris
Mabel
Elowen
Penelope
Phoebe
Helena

Nina or Flora, they are both beautiful.

Edna is an amusing dogs name.

georgialondon · 09/01/2020 15:29

Eva.

Rae is the new filler middle name where I live

Frothybothie · 09/01/2020 15:31

what on earth are people saying to be banned on this?

Nina is a pretty name.

YourOpinionIsNoted · 09/01/2020 15:31

Daphne. Lovely and unusual without seeming made up.
