What are your thoughts on the name Freya? Do you know many? Thanks x

My sister was named it 46 years ago and it was really unusual now she’s a teacher and hates how many have the name now! I still think it’s a lovely name

Lovely name but I know several, very popular name for all ages around this way!

I have one (10) we thought it was lovely and unusual - there are 3 in her year of 60!

Great name. Personally I would spell it Freja with j however I understand why ppl would spell it the English way with a y.

I don’t know any but I thought the Norse spelling was Freja.

I know 2. One is late teens and one junior school.

I only know one, she's in her 20s. It was unusual then. It's a very pretty name.

It’s lovely. There is a little Freya in my DD’s reception class and she is a sweet little thing and unusually kind natured. The name suits her.

I really love it! It doesn’t work with our surname but if it did it would be my first choice.

Oh noo...second thread I've seen just today asking about Freya, aside from my own!! Does this suggest that it's going through a massive surge..?

I think It's a nice name. It makes me think of Freya Stark (explorer)
I know 3 who are 6-8y old and one in her 60s...no babies though

I love it and would have used it if I'd had a girl. Only ever met one and she was the most gorgeous little girl.

There's 3 in my y3's class of 30. Pretty but quite common around here.

Almost all the baby girls I met born last year were called Freya. I thought it annodd choice. I hear 'Fray a', like fraying. Seems weak to me.

There are 6 in our small primary. I know 3 more older. It's very common where I live! Its lovely though and I like the J in it
