Lovely

Pipersouth · 04/01/2020 16:14

My sister was named it 46 years ago and it was really unusual now she’s a teacher and hates how many have the name now! I still think it’s a lovely name

Showmeyourhero · 04/01/2020 16:30

Lovely name but I know several, very popular name for all ages around this way!

Belfastbird · 04/01/2020 16:49

I have one (10) we thought it was lovely and unusual - there are 3 in her year of 60!

FreyaMountstuart · 04/01/2020 16:53

I love it!

ArtisanPopcorn · 04/01/2020 17:20

Really nice name but it's become very popular, popular enough to put me off.

Stluciasun · 04/01/2020 17:22

Great name. Personally I would spell it Freja with j however I understand why ppl would spell it the English way with a y.

Marcipex · 04/01/2020 17:23

I don’t know any but I thought the Norse spelling was Freja.

itsgettingweird · 04/01/2020 17:24

I know 2. One is late teens and one junior school.

Both lovely girls with beautiful characters.

DramaAlpaca · 04/01/2020 17:25

I only know one, she's in her 20s. It was unusual then. It's a very pretty name.

Roselilly36 · 04/01/2020 17:25

Lovely

Butterfly005 · 04/01/2020 18:26

I really like Freya - lovely name

Whatsyourflava · 04/01/2020 20:33

I love it. Don’t know any

TulipsTulipsTulips · 04/01/2020 20:39

It’s lovely. There is a little Freya in my DD’s reception class and she is a sweet little thing and unusually kind natured. The name suits her.

mamablondie · 05/01/2020 08:27

I really love it! It doesn’t work with our surname but if it did it would be my first choice.

CassandrasCastle · 06/01/2020 14:15

Oh noo...second thread I've seen just today asking about Freya, aside from my own!! Does this suggest that it's going through a massive surge..?

(Obviously I really like it OP! But, you know, DON'T USE IT :p )

lozamac87 · 07/01/2020 01:37

Love the name

pollywobble · 07/01/2020 03:45

I think It's a nice name. It makes me think of Freya Stark (explorer)
I know 3 who are 6-8y old and one in her 60s...no babies though

frankincenseandmur · 07/01/2020 13:38

I have a Freya, I love it

Mooncake2020 · 07/01/2020 17:38

@CassandrasCastle It's in the top 20, so imagine there will be a few! Xx

I love it and would have used it if I'd had a girl. Only ever met one and she was the most gorgeous little girl.

Scarletoharaseyebrows · 07/01/2020 18:01

There's 3 in my y3's class of 30. Pretty but quite common around here.

Poetryinaction · 07/01/2020 18:06

Almost all the baby girls I met born last year were called Freya. I thought it annodd choice. I hear 'Fray a', like fraying. Seems weak to me.

PlantPotting · 07/01/2020 18:45

@Mooncake2020
@CassandrasCastle it’s not going through a surge don’t worry. Check the official stats. It’s been declining numbers each year since 2010!! You’re ok:
