Isobel or Isabelle??

Opinions please on spelling for Isobel/Isabelle?

Stuck on which spelling to go for!

Isabelle - Belle for short!

Isabelle seems to be the most popular version these days.

Definitely Isabel, my daughters name, never even considered spelling it another way

Isolde. Too many Isobel/Isabelles.

I am due in February and going for Isabelle, it's a name I have loved since I was little (nn Izzie).

I've never cared about name popularity and considering 'unique' is all the rage now, there will probably be dozens of Islas, Auroras, Theos etc in her school year as opposed to the simplistic names.

Isabel or Isobel. Not Isabelle.

My Isabel is 10 and the only one in her year, she goes by Izzy but for some reason it really annoys me when people spell it Issey

As debated on threads elsewhere, it's a different name with quite distinct pronunciation.

We used Isobel, as a nod to our Scottish forebears, and because I like non-frilly names
