I've liked this name for a girl since the start of my pregnancy.

I've only got a few weeks left and I really like it again now.

What's everyone's thoughts?
I don't want to get flamed for saying the word because I'm by no means judgemental or posh at all but does it come across a bit chavvy?

I knew a girl called silver
I like it , unusual and pretty

TheVanguardSix · 06/11/2019 07:25

Oh dear.
What will you use for nappy rash? Silvo? Brasso in a push?
It's a horse's name, OP.

Tvstar · 06/11/2019 07:29

It's a horse name. Sylvia means something completely different. Woods I tbink

EugenesAxe · 06/11/2019 07:32

You could go down the science route and call her Agnes 😁

I wouldn’t name Silver but actually find Silva OK. Sorry if I do offend but I find some names can be elevated by the family using them; I would put Silva in that category. Cool, slightly hippy vibe.

Or Argentina 😀

Silva is a surname. Don’t use that. Sylvia is nice but it doesn’t have the same meaning as Silver. It’s related to “woods”. But I prefer Sylvia. Silver is OK, though. I don’t mind it.

Hollyoaks? I like different names but silver is a bit mannish I'd say but it's your child so do what you like.

I really love it. Reminds me of the girl from 90210 who was stunning.

I prefer the names that mean silver
