Hard to decide between Avery and Kerry. Want you to criticize these two names. Or give me some ideas of what kind of person do you picture? Are they council house names? Which name could pass the supreme court test?

Being mean can help me quickly make a final decision so please bring it on or suggest some similar unisex names

I really dislike Avery- Kerrie would be okish with a different spelling.

“Council house names”, OP? Are you fucking serious?! I thought that sort of comment died with my parents’ generation. Vile. Whatever you name your baby, please don’t pass on that attitude.

AlliKaneErikson · 06/11/2019 23:26

I mush prefer the Ceri spelling.

Mymycherrypie · 06/11/2019 23:30

Can’t get past bird aviary. Is a wire box full of bird poo the first thing you want people to picture when they hear your child’s name?

I have a good friend Kerry so won’t knock it but I also prefer the Ceri spelling.

I live in a Council house. Fuck off with your vile prejudice.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 07/11/2019 11:13

Avery reminds me of a huge bird cage.

Kerry is everything you feared it might be in your OP.

DerbyshireGirly · 07/11/2019 12:05

Kerry is about as council as it gets OP.

Cbeebiesrehab · 07/11/2019 12:33

Dislike both. Avery if they were the last two names on earth as I don’t know one nice Kerry.

BonBon411 · 07/11/2019 13:46

Dislike both names. Are you trying for something unisex?

notso · 07/11/2019 14:06

Being in Wales I'm used to hearing Ceri for males and females. It's funny as I almost see Kerry as a different name.

Avery doesn't seem unisex to me at all, it seems masculine.

Evilmorty · 07/11/2019 22:08

Ah I know a really lovely Kerry but we’ve actually discussed how kids are never given our names anymore because they are so dated. Mine is still very low in the polls though, because it’s an old one that came back in the 80’s rather than being 80’s on its own.

It’s not that I don’t like the name, it’s that it’s so tied to a time.

Frith2013 · 08/11/2019 18:49

Sorry, OP.

Kerry - breed of sheep and a boy’s name where I come from.

Avery - make of weighing scales!

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 08/11/2019 19:00

I grew up in a council house and I spent a lot of my childhood dealing with the shite stereotypes you are implicitly implying in your post, OP.

I hope your future kids are more open-minded.

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 08/11/2019 19:23

So has this helped in anyway OP or have you vanished???
