Ok so really easy what do you think?
Obviously like Stanley...but spelt Stanlee like the guy who wrote all the marvel comics.

No. Common names spelled badly are absolutely awful. They don't sound chic at all, but as though the parents can't spell.

RubbingHimSourly · 20/10/2019 18:20

No.

Call him Vincent instead.

IamPickleRick · 20/10/2019 18:22

It’s not all of a sudden, we have two Stanley’s in year 4. I always think of Flat Stanley.

I see what you are doing here OP, but I’d always end up saying Stan (pause) Lee, instead of Stanlee. Why not call him Stanley Lee.

MrsNoMopp · 20/10/2019 18:27

I like Marco. Marco Stanley would go well, or Robin Marco.

PurBal · 20/10/2019 18:52

You mean like Stan Lee? Yeah no. Stanley is nice thoughn

BlouseAndSkirt · 20/10/2019 18:55

I like Stanley.

user1493494961 · 20/10/2019 19:46

I know of a Robin Hood.

MissHenty · 20/10/2019 20:26

Can’t believe people are still commenting on how awful Stanlee is - OP has already taken comments on board and said she’s not using it! Poor lady is going to come back to another barrage 🙈

Theflying19 · 20/10/2019 20:36

Why saddle a kid with a name he's going to have to spend his whole life spelling out to people?

SemperIdem · 20/10/2019 21:18

Stan Lee was actually called Stanley. Stanley Lieberman. Your husband can’t be that big a fan if he isn’t aware of that.

OB30 · 20/10/2019 21:26

Its so funny how seriously some people have taken this. I wasnt going to name my child this, like i said it was an idea of my husband and i was asking people opinion on it. I was neither here nor there and found it more interesting than anything. Like i said my faves are Robin and Marco. Any more friendly suggestions would be much appreciated though as i am not set on anything yet!

OP I really love Robin. A classic that is underused. Perfect name

Evilmorty · 20/10/2019 22:00

I don’t like Robin because it’s an old family name for us and every single one has been a bastard.

AloneLonelyLoner · 20/10/2019 22:05

@StuntEgg you just made me spit tea everywhere! But his underwear probably now you mention it.

If you want traditional early 20th century name, how about Robert or Edward. Both easily shortened, but classic and with gravitas.

strawbebbies · 20/10/2019 22:07

Stanlee remind me of chumlee from Pawn Stars which isn't a brilliant association Grin

Marco however is really lovely imo

HalfBloodPrincess · 20/10/2019 22:13

Robin is fine (and a nod to DC comics which your husband might not be too pleased about if hes a marvel fan)

I have a Stanley, hes 15 and loves his name.

PandasMum · 21/10/2019 05:48

Love love love Robin

Whattodoabout · 21/10/2019 11:29

Awful.

Kokeshi123 · 21/10/2019 12:47

But your his mummy and it's about what you like

Don't you mean "mummeee"?

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 21/10/2019 21:29

Prefer Mark or Marcus to Marco unless your Italian or similar. Not too keen on Robin but I do quite like Stanley!

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/10/2019 21:34

How about Kenlee, after the Bulgarian X Factor contestant.

paperandfireworks · 22/10/2019 03:13

This is thee worst.

FizzyGreenWater · 22/10/2019 23:12

How about Bosco

FizzyGreenWater · 22/10/2019 23:12

Or Boychildee

HeadlessGummyBears · 23/10/2019 06:07

Out of your three options, I’d go for Robin.
