Just love this for baby girl. Don’t know what I’m having... 35 weeks today. Boy’s name sorted. Thoughts?

Senna Rose is my favourite.

Be honest but not too brutal!

I prefer Sienna.

Serena is fab.
Senna is a laxative and is ludicrous

Canadianstamp · 29/08/2019 21:38

Seren is gorgeous.

TypicalMeBreakMyTypicalRules · 29/08/2019 21:39

Previous poster - Seren, that's nice

StyleOfTheTimes · 29/08/2019 21:40

Just no! Senokot is for constipation and the active ingredient is senna. Don’t inflict years of bullying onto your child.

LaMarschallin · 29/08/2019 21:43

I once said on a thread here that, if I was evil, I'd suggest Melaena as a lovely name for a girl.

Turns out I am evil.

Have you considered Melaena?

(PS Don't! Even though it may provoke less mockery than Senna)

Such a shame it's the name of a laxative (of all things) as it's a very pretty name

Also a shame how blunt people are on here Hmm
Trying to think of pretty similar (ish) sounding names;

Sienna
Serena
Zena
Sanna
Sari
Savanna

IdahoGreen · 29/08/2019 22:18

It’s at moments like this that I think the Baby Names forum is a public service.

OP, didn’t you know senna was a laxative?

june2007 · 29/08/2019 22:21

Don't add rose it's far too popular at the moment. (Jessica Rose, Felicity rose, Courtney rose, Lily rose, Emily rose. all children I have met last couple of years.)

tabbycat985 · 29/08/2019 23:24

I feel awful for you OP because I think Senna is a very cool name & I have a friend who has just named his daughter this after the race driver Aryton Senna/ the McLaren car.
It must be a very English thing to associate it with a medication

LatteLove · 29/08/2019 23:27

I just read a book with a character called Zennor, it’s a village in Cornwall (we were near there on holiday at the time I read the book)

Might be similar?

LatteLove · 29/08/2019 23:29

How about Sennen instead, like the beach/village in Cornwall?

I love this because I love the place so much but my autocorrect keeps changing it to Semen, worth bearing in mind ;)

Findumdum1 · 29/08/2019 23:31
