Need a name with a star theme

Right we have a beautiful baby girl who is 2 weeks old, we are registering her birth next week so we need to find a middle name that we both agree on and like..
however there is lovely back story that me and dh both saw a shooting star before we found out we were expecting, so we would love for her middle name to be star themed, something like a star name or a type of star etc, we have seen a lot but nothing is quite right.. any ideas? Thanks!

Aurora or Serin.

Most names date. Thats ok
So will she

SleepingStandingUp · 18/07/2019 09:01

Ooh Halley is a good call

Floopily · 18/07/2019 09:02

Anusha?

pinkmagic1 · 18/07/2019 09:03

Negma is Arabic for star and used as a girls name.

Corcra · 18/07/2019 09:04

I love Seren.
Stella.
Réaltín (pronounced rail teen) is an Irish name meaning little star.

MikeUniformMike · 18/07/2019 09:06

I think that she will grow up and mature, and that the sort of date that she will do will be of the going on a date kind.
By names dating I mean some names are fresh and new when they are given, but seem awful after a few years.

I love Estrella (pronounced es tray a) it's a Spanish name meaning star, but it depends on DD's first name obviously whether it would go.

NiLunNiLautre · 18/07/2019 10:08

Estrella is a beer, though!

Then again, so is Stella.

I’d avoid beers if I were you, OP

BabloHoney · 18/07/2019 10:14

I know an Anastacia who goes by the nickname Star!

DeadDoorpost · 18/07/2019 10:15

There's nothing to say you can't use Orion as the name. My sister has a male middle name.

Bellatrix is a star in the Orion constellation. Although obviously has links now to the HP character.

Blackcountrychik83 · 18/07/2019 10:19

I know someone with a Daughter and her name IS Starr!

Heartofglass12345 · 18/07/2019 10:32

Seren is a lovely name but if you live in wales it is very common at the moment
I love all the starry sounding names though!

TigerDragonMonkey · 18/07/2019 10:37

How about Oriana? It doesn’t mean star but it’s a nod to your Orionid reference :)

Booboo66 · 18/07/2019 10:44

I know Estrella is a beer but my SIL is Stella and tbh I never really make the connection when talking to/about her. (She wasn't intentionally named after a beer, it's a V common name in her culture)

How about simply using star as the middle name?

NC4Now · 18/07/2019 10:47

Oria then?

fuckingtwats · 18/07/2019 11:05

Stella or Aster (also a flower name)

bridgetreilly · 18/07/2019 11:08

Andromeda

ShmooBooMoo · 18/07/2019 11:16

Celeste is my favourite. Means heavenly but stars are heavenly bodies so...
Also, Eleanor is Greek for bright, shining one.
Agree with previous poster that, while Seren looks pretty, it doesn't sound so nice when spoken aloud.
Not sure about Halley (sounds a bit like you're about to say halitosis).

FriarTuck · 18/07/2019 11:18

Surely 'Twinkle' is the obvious star-themed choice?! Grin

Thistly · 18/07/2019 11:27

Esfir, Esta, Esteri, Estera, Yesfir, Roksana, Roshanak.

Names with Persian origin with Star related meanings.

Thistly · 18/07/2019 11:28

I love the name Roxanne.

Booboo66 · 18/07/2019 11:45

Greek word for star is also pretty - Asteri (emphasis on the E sound so doesn't sound like asterix)

Sophronia · 18/07/2019 12:12

Esther
Steren (Cornish version of Seren)

Skyejuly · 18/07/2019 13:30

Love Halley

JonnyPocketRocket · 18/07/2019 13:37

I recently met a Hesper (not a typo for Hester!). It means 'evening star'.
