DH and I both like Rebecca. I'm not sure if it's the one... would appreciate advice on the following please!

Is it dated? I don't like the current popular names so want something classic.

What nicknames could we use? Would rather avoid Becky as we have a Becky in the family (not too close)

Any ideas for middle names? Surname beginning with S.

Can you think of similar classic names that I might love more? (I've spent a long time looking but Rebecca is what we both keep coming back to)

I’m a Rebecca and always go by Rebecca. My best friends call me Bex or Becca but I have never been Becky and I don’t even answer to it. I think my name is classic and I’ve heard of one or two babies been called it recently.

Another Rebecca here! (I'm 31)

I love my name but the nn Becky stuck before I was old enough to object. Those that know me best use Rebecca. Someone posted about using Bea as a nickname and I love this - wish my parents had thought of that Smile

Another Rebecca here. Unfortunately for me I have never been a Rebecca and have always been Becky, which seems like it's the sort of name a 16 year old cheerleader should have, rather than a 40 year old. But it's too late now! Luckily most people call me 'B', which I like.
