We are struggling with names (hence a million posts!) Looking for honest uncensored views!

What do you think of Dulcie?

And for a boy - Robin?

Robyn for a girl?

How does everyone pronounce Dulcie? I'm from the SE and would pronounce it Doll-see, so I'm not getting all the Dull connotations. I may be pronouncing it wrong though, as I don't think I've ever heard someone say it before, so its just the way I say the name in my head.

That said, I'm not keen on it anyway, although I guess it has has a vintage vibe. Given my pn of it, I would suggest Dorothy nn Dolly as an alternative maybe?

I quite like Robin for a boy. Don't like it (or even worse Robyn) for a girl.

I like Robin for a boy or a girl

Dulcie is horrible!

Robin is nice.

How about Dodie instead op? Although I may be biased as I've just finished I Capture The Castle and am bereft.

Robyn is lovely for a girl.

Frith2013 · 09/07/2019 18:53

Dulce is ok.

Robin sounds like an elderly librarian.

Smile19 · 10/07/2019 20:04

Love Robin. Good choice.

Dulcie is twee, Robin is wet. Sorry
