WowserBowser · 17/06/2019 13:22

Juliet and Josephine are my favourites.

Pasgaddi · 17/06/2019 13:24

Me too!
I do like Camilla as a name but personally would be removed of Parker-bowles

Fulltimemummy85 · 17/06/2019 13:31

Eleanor
Penelope
Harriet
Elizabeth
Victoria

The rest are ok except Josephine not keen on Jo for a girl, Camilla and Theodora

meatandgreetretreat · 17/06/2019 13:32

Yes I know what you mean about Parker-Bowles, @Pasgaddi - shame it’s nice without that association.

Juliet I love but not Julie...Jools could be cute but Jamie Oliver’s wife..

Posie as a possible nn for Josephine but I’ve just seen it described as wet on another thread.

My faves are Juliet, Josephine and Matilda, the first two are probably less popular which I think is a positive.

whinetime89 · 17/06/2019 13:34

Georgia, Matilda and Adelaide :)
Also is your name a reference to the Kath and Kim episode?

meatandgreetretreat · 17/06/2019 13:35

Thanks @Fulltimemummy85, your choices all very classic which I do love.

tardyheart · 17/06/2019 13:35

All beautiful names, very similar taste to me, these are my top ones of your selection.

Eleanor
Francesca
Georgia or Georgina
Harriet
Josephine
Matilda
Victoria

I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste but I like Frankie, Georgie & Mattie as nicknames too.

Shadow1234 · 17/06/2019 13:36

Georgia and Matilda are my top two. Not keen on others.

meatandgreetretreat · 17/06/2019 13:37

@whinetime89 - yes! :)
Your username from K and K too?

@tardyheart - thank you, and I agree on the nns, I also like Chessie for Francesca and Harry and Hattie for Harriet.

Catherine
Elizabeth
Francesca
Harriet
Georgia
Victoria
Josephine.

Not fussed on the others.
Although I like Elena (El-ay-na) rather than Ellen-or.

I know you're trying to shorten your list but other names you might like.
Bethany.
Violet
Jennifer
Jessica
Stephanie
Sarah
Evelyn
Isabelle
Louisa

meatandgreetretreat · 17/06/2019 13:45

GeriTe · 17/06/2019 13:46

Penelope !

HarleyS · 17/06/2019 13:48

What does the surname start with and how many syllables?

HarleyS · 17/06/2019 13:48

Middle name chosen?

meatandgreetretreat · 17/06/2019 13:49

Thanks @Awwlookatmybabyspider
I can’t use Stephanie, Beatrice or Abigail but I like them all.
Evelyn I like but would be worried about pronunciation confusion.
Violet vetoed by DH.

@HarleyS
Surname starts with t and 2 syllables. Do you think a name ending with t will sound strange with it?
Middle names to be chosen from a list of family names depending on first name and how they would flow together.

My daughter is Georgia but always wanted to be called Georgina when she was younger

DramaAlpaca · 17/06/2019 14:02

I'd take off Georgia & Francesca just because I really don't like them, and also Theodora because I'm not fond of the diminutives.

The rest are great, all classy & elegant.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/06/2019 14:09

Do you like Dorothy..

TempsPerdu · 17/06/2019 14:10

I’d keep Catherine, Eleanor, Harriet, Josephine and Juliet. Juliet is my favourite of these by far though.

HarleyS · 17/06/2019 14:16

Evelyn is a beautiful name, boys have it too, learned that recently.
Goes with most English / British surnames too
Evelyn Taylor
Evelyn Thomas
Evelyn Cooper
Evelyn Jones
Evelyn Smith

Live up a common surname too, I think

Maybe a more modern middle name as Evelyn is classical and a biblical connection

HarleyS · 17/06/2019 14:20

Record yourself saying all the names with all the middle names with your surname
Listen to the recording and hear what feels right
