Ottilie and possible middle names?

opinions on Ottilie? I have a feeling it’s a bit of a marmite name. I thought it was a nice balance of unusual and classic.

Also trying to think of middle names to go with it. So far the front runner is Ottilie Fleur...any suggestions welcome!

DH thought it was spelt Otterly, he seemed a bit disappointed when I corrected him. I think he quite liked the otter association

I pronounce it Ott (as in otter) illy (to rhyme with silly)

I only know one Ottilie and she is always called Ottie.

I think maybe something 'plainer' than Fleur might be better. Not sure what though (sorry, not very helpful )

It was top of my list until recently where I see it everywhere and we'd prefer something less 'in' right now. I do love it though.

Clunky just Ottilie but I think Fleur actually does go with it

I think it’s a lovely name - I like that it has the ie ending without sounding like a nickname

If you're not sure how to pronounce it then I wouldn't use it.

It's sound is more like ohh tillia not otterley

I really dislike Ottilie. It’s ugly sounding to me and you’ll get different pronunciations. I like Fleur though.

@harebel I do know how to pronounce it, Ottilia is a different (albeit similar) name and I would pronounce that with a softer oh sound. Ottilie is a harder “o”
