Nell

Myownpath · 09/06/2019 15:59

I have to say I like them all but nell sounds cool and classy to me

verybookish · 09/06/2019 15:59

I like Nell best

dreichuplands · 09/06/2019 16:00

Nell

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 09/06/2019 16:00

Pippa. Nell sounds old to me as does Ida.

dottyaboutstripes · 09/06/2019 16:00

Nell! I would have used it for a girl

EmrysAtticus · 09/06/2019 16:01

Ida for me :)

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 09/06/2019 16:01

Ida

IggyAce · 09/06/2019 16:02

Nell would be my choice.

fedup21 · 09/06/2019 16:05

Gratefully Wink.

I quite like them all actually, but think I would have to go for Pippa. I’ve always liked that name and don’t know many children with the name.

rabbitheadlights · 09/06/2019 16:07

Haha fedup21 thanks x

I think I like Ida best. Nell is also nice. I like Pippa the least.

Bellaposey · 09/06/2019 16:08

We have a Helena nickname Nell and I love it.

Banhaha · 09/06/2019 16:11

Pippa

Banhaha · 09/06/2019 16:12

Nell is too easy to misread as Neil when written by someone with messy handwriting.

sunnyshines · 09/06/2019 16:12

Ida (pronounced Eeda)

Really dislike Pippa.

Juniperjunojunijune · 09/06/2019 16:13

Nell is lovely

Pixel99 · 09/06/2019 16:14

Pippa
Nell (as a pp says Helena with a NN of Nell is really nice) and I suspect unique.

Ida

maimainomai · 09/06/2019 16:20

Pippa means very unfortunate things in many European languages (maybe also in non-European languages). I really would not recommend it.

Ida is adorable.

Nell doesn't sound like a full name to me personally to be honest.

Do you like the common(-ish) nicknames for these names? Nelly, Pip/Pippers(Pippie?) etc?

taylorlynn · 09/06/2019 16:23

None are my cup of tea I think Nell is nicest x

DramaAlpaca · 09/06/2019 16:28

Nell is nice (though Nellie isn't)

Ida is too 'granny chic' for me, and Pippa has unfortunate connotations in other languages as a pp has said.

Divinelyuninspired · 09/06/2019 16:29

Not Ida. Quite like Nell and Pippa.

Penny4Thoughts · 09/06/2019 17:00

Not a huge fan of nicknames as full names so I’d go Ida which is nice
I love Pippa if used for Penelope and Nell if used for Eleanor or Penelope

Fulltimemummy85 · 09/06/2019 17:24

Nell or pippa x
