Were you caught out? Or waiting to see how it pans out?!

OP....are you well?

insancerre · 18/05/2019 12:31

Cake anyone want cake?
I’ve got no idea what any of this is about

ReganSomerset · 18/05/2019 12:48

@insancerre

Ooh, yes please!

ReganSomerset · 18/05/2019 12:51

Posted too soon. From what I can gather, OP hates herself for liking a TV show and is using plotlines in the show she 'hates' to mock those who openly like it. She seems to think everyone who likes the show will have named an infant after one of its main character's title.

BlackPrism · 18/05/2019 12:55

Why are you trolling everyone? It's pathetic... do you not have a life and a family to pay attention to?

Miljah · 20/05/2019 20:35

So, how do we now feel about Khaleesi as a baby name?

OP posts:
PinkieTuscadero · 20/05/2019 20:36

Are you lonely, OP? Is that it?

NunoGoncalves · 20/05/2019 20:39

Get a better hobby, OP.

Ravingstarfish · 20/05/2019 20:39

What a very odd person

Proseccofuelled · 20/05/2019 20:46

Why are you writing the same thing again? And I don’t understand how a show you hate is such a big part of your life: I’ve never seen it & haven’t the foggiest who Khaleesi is & it features in 0% of my thoughts. Why are you keeping up to date & so invested in a programme you hate ??

SnuggyBuggy · 20/05/2019 20:52

Have you considered learning an instrument? Maybe the oboe?

Mississippilessly · 20/05/2019 20:55

There are some really, really weird people on MN atm.

eddiestanleys · 20/05/2019 20:57

You watched it didn't you op ? !

PCohle · 20/05/2019 21:04

I thought you hated the show? Why are you so au fait with the fate of certain characters?

RedDogsBeg · 20/05/2019 21:11

Who's we?

Dillydallyingthrough · 20/05/2019 21:29

No interest in GoT - but I couldn't give a shit if other people enjoy it, you do sound seriously invested in it - almost in an odd way a super fan.

On a side night, I like the name, and it is seriously shitty to start a thread to just sneer at people who may have called their child after a TV character (have no idea but I'm guessing it's not a pleasant character). Do this make you feel in some way better than anyone else??

Cbeebiesrehab · 20/05/2019 21:39

😆 what a weird thread.

PutThatDown10 · 21/05/2019 09:02

What a strange thread Confused

Miljah · 21/05/2019 22:30

Thank you for 70 replies.

Tho no one answered the question- how you might feel if you'd named your child a name that, at the time, you assumed meant 'strong' and 'fearless'; but transpired to mean 'Went crazy and immolated a lot of people'......

Why wouldn't you wait for the end before taking stock?

OP posts:
SavoyCabbage · 21/05/2019 22:40

I’ve had a Khalessi in my class for nearly a year now and nobody has ever mentioned it. Ever. Obviously the other children don’t know where her name has come from but it’s never ever come up in conversation with any of the adults.

I didn’t know it was from a TV programme until a couple of months ago. It’s just her name.

NunoGoncalves · 21/05/2019 22:48

Tho no one answered the question

I think that's because nobody really cares

PCohle · 21/05/2019 22:54

Why are you so obsessed with slagging off game of thrones fans?

And how do you do know so much about how it ended given you think anyone who watches it is some kind of deranged pervert?

Khaleesi is a title anyway, not the name of a particular character. I assume people who are big enough fans of the show to name their child after a character understand that.

RedDogsBeg · 21/05/2019 23:03

Why wouldn't you wait for the end before taking stock?

Possibly because to wait for the end of GoT as you suggest the child could now be 10 years oldConfused.

ReganSomerset · 22/05/2019 07:26

Doesn't it mean Queen? There'd be some good and some bad Khaleesis. Her actual name was Daenerys. And I imagine it wouldn't put anyone off that name in the same way that Ted Bundy hasn't put people off the names Ted or Theodore.

agirlhasnonameX · 22/05/2019 07:48

Doesn't it mean Queen?
Yes, yes it does.

@Miljah why would anyone feel anything? Why do you care? You realise it's a T.V show, right?
