Welsh names that are easy to pronounce

I am Scottish, DH is half Welsh and we live in Scotland.
DS has the most Scottish name it's possible to have (through accident rather than design as he's named after people). Not quite Angus Fergus MacDonald but not far off - paint him blue and he'd yell Freedom!

Anyhoo, for DC2 we'd like to incorporate a Welsh name somewhere in honour of DHs mum. Sex currently unknown.
I like Eira for a girl but think it will probably end up being mispronounced up here.
Suggestions please for Welsh names that won't be mangled by my fellow Scots Grin

Eira is lovely but you'll get Ira or Ay-ruh, neither of which are nice.

I love Trystan (pronounced Tristan) for a boy, he was a Welsh Knight and the name mean Noise! Perfect for some DS I know.
I always want to name my DD Seren (pronounced Ce-ren) which mean Star in Welsh. Both I think would be easy to say in Scotland.

Rice OP has asked for easy to pronounce Grin some of that list would be a struggle.

Warmworm · 29/04/2019 18:44

I live in Wales and I met a woman called Enfys, which means rainbow. I thought it was lovely. Pronounced En-vis.

I guess it could be a problem if people think you said Elvis...

MikeUniformMike · 29/04/2019 19:19

Meredith - not a Welsh girl's name. It's the anglicised version of a Welsh boy's name, and used for girls.
Taliesin - boy's name
Arianwyn - it's Arianwen

Alwyn - not technically Welsh
Romney - not a Welsh boy's name
Mervin - - not a Welsh boy's name. It's Merfyn. Myrddin is nicer but not easy to guess how to sayy or spell it.
Floyd - not a Welsh boy's name
Gawain - not a Welsh boy's name
Griffith - not a Welsh boy's name. It's Gruffudd.

Scottish, lived in Wales for a long time.

My favourites are Eleri, Nia and Cerys, and Gethin (no back ups for the boy name, I love it).

CloserIAm2Fine · 29/04/2019 21:41

For girls - Nia, Catrin, Bethan, Anwen, Rhiannon, Seren, Carys, Ffion

For boys - Tomos, Huw, Rhys, Dewi, Dylan

Are Fiona and Erin Welsh names

MeMeMeYou · 29/04/2019 21:50

Seren, Eira (snow), Eirlys (snowdrop), Enfys (rainbow) were on my list. My parents are both welsh but I was born in England.

My son is Hugh - we went did English spelling altho my parents would’ve loved Huw.
