Well they don't look like anything at first, but then again, I took a week to decide. I was adamant I was going to call my dd Courtney, my dp had chosen the name holly, and when she was born, she was just Holly, Courtney didn't suit her at all.

Madeleine does still make me think of Madeline McCann.

Matilda is a tad blah and popular.

Connie would be my choice, I'm surprised by how many people hate it!

We had two possible names for DD & chose the one she looked the most like 😁.

In your case OP, I would have to choose Madeline.

Matilda by miles for me. Madeline is nice enough. I dislike Constance/Connie.

Matilda Jean has the best rhythm, Constance Jean second but they are very different names in terms of personality. Constance Jean conjures up someone quite formidable in my mind! Which is not a bad thing at all, of course.
