Finally got DH on board with Asa. So it’s either:

Asa Michael; or
Ezra Michael

as a little brother to Noah.

Ezra seems like a safer choice because it’s more common though Asa is very beautiful too. A little worried there will be pronounciation issues with Asa but I just love it. Is Asa too “out there”?

Asa is a character in the sitcom Still Game. She's a woman, so for me Ezra.

ReginaPhalange89 · 23/03/2019 13:51

@Connieston that's Isa, not Asa

squirrelnutkins1 · 23/03/2019 13:57

It's pronounced like the tree, Acer, or the laptop brand! Lol.
I think Ezra flows better.
Know both an Ezra and an Asa.

WisdomOfCrowds · 23/03/2019 13:58

I love both names, there's no bad choice here. Personally I'd go with Ezra but that's mostly because I'd get frustrated with constantly correcting people saying "Ah-sah" instead of "Ay-sah" which I think is likely to happen.

queenqueenqueen · 23/03/2019 13:59

Sorry but I'm not keen on Ezra, I like Asa and think it's quirky but in a good way x

SweetbutaPsycho · 23/03/2019 14:03

Asa is too much like Ass in my mind. Exra is nice and goes well with Noah

Minoritym · 23/03/2019 14:07

People will think of Asda or ASAP if you chose Asa

Ezra is a lovely name anyhow

Peachbubble · 23/03/2019 14:13

Ezra gets my vote

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 23/03/2019 14:22

Asa

mummyzombie · 23/03/2019 14:25

Both lovely names.

Personally, I like Ezra with Noah... but I think it is quite popular at the moment, so if that bothers you Asa is also nice.

Ikeameatballs · 23/03/2019 14:26

Ezra

happytobemrsg · 23/03/2019 16:11

Arghhh it’s so difficult. When most people were favouring Ezra I think I felt a bit disappointed- maybe that means I secretly prefer Asa? No idea

Never heard of Asa and would assume it was a girl’s name.

TinyTickler · 23/03/2019 16:14

I love Asa.

UrsulaPandress · 23/03/2019 16:14

Asa
Asa
Asa
Asa
Asa

sunflower332 · 23/03/2019 16:16

I love Asa!

queenqueenqueen · 23/03/2019 17:15

No-er-nazer

Is how it would be pronounced where I live and I think that would annoy me if they were my DCs

Of the 2 I do prefer Asa but maybe not the best match with noah?

Connieston · 23/03/2019 17:18

Ah! I stand corrected! Blush It still carries a bit of a feminine twang for me, which of course doesn't matter remotely in big scheme of things Grin

Hanab · 23/03/2019 17:20

Ezra

Ashana · 23/03/2019 17:23

What about Easa? Best of both.

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 23/03/2019 18:15

Ezra.

The pronunciation of Asa wasnt intuitive to me. And I think it will be full of struggle and possibly bullying too.

Ezra is really nice!

Twelve8Ts · 23/03/2019 22:48

Asa is a really old name, just not used as much anymore. I know of one, and I’ve seen it suggested on here a few times recently so maybe it’s due a come back?
Ignore the comments about bullying, what a load of rubbish 🙄

DramaAlpaca · 23/03/2019 22:50

I much prefer Asa.

squirrelnutkins1 · 23/03/2019 22:50

Asa is a king in the bible.

BatFace1 · 23/03/2019 22:53

Asa much better. Ezra is horrible
