I’m new here, unless I was here 14 years ago but can’t remember, officially geriatric now!
Please give your opinion on the girls name
‘Elsbeth’ as a first name? Looking to call her Betty for short...

I'm not a fan (or Elspeth), it feels very clumsy to say

I like it but prefer Elspeth (biased) and think people will mishear Elsbeth and assume it's Elspeth. My Elspeth is affectionately known as Elspie

Elsbeth very nice, not a fan of Betty though.
