DH is Jewish & we have a very Jewish-sounding surname so looking at Hebrew names which work with Noah. Middle name will 100% be Michael.

Eesa - I LOVE this name but is it too out there?

Ezra - the safer version of Eesa I feel. DH not completely convinced yet (gave it a solid 7/10 Hmm)

Thoughts?

I like Ezra

123Flopsy · 12/03/2019 20:29

Eesa is lovely and more interesting and unusual than Ezra.

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/03/2019 20:30

I think Noah and Ezra go very well together

NChangeForNoReason · 12/03/2019 20:33

I love Ezra - it was on my shortlist!

Divgirl2 · 12/03/2019 20:34

I prefer Eesa to Ezra. Ezra is quite popular now, and makes me think of George Ezra (who does seem nice enough to be fair).

What about Saul? My DP vetoed it but someone should get to use it! Such a beautiful name...

olivesarelife · 12/03/2019 20:37

Is Eesa a hebrew name? I never knew that, buut i do prefer that than ezra.

happytobemrsg · 12/03/2019 20:39

Eesa is very similar sounding to Issa which is an Islamic name - would that be odd next to our Jewish surname? It doesn’t bother me but would others think it strange?

olivesarelife yes but certainly not a popular one. Issa which is similar is more common which is an Arabic/Islamic variation

Love Eesa and agree that Ezra is becoming more popular. I was going to suggest Elijah though I think Eesa is a beautiful name, as is Saul.

Tavannach · 12/03/2019 20:45

I like Ezra

Isaac?

happytobemrsg · 12/03/2019 20:49

There’s already an Isaac in our close family Tavannach

Asher

Ezra is ok but there are gazillions in nurseries atm. Eesa is locally v common, but for Muslim boys, rather than Jewish.

Arowana · 12/03/2019 22:00

I know a Jewish boy called Noah whose brother is Jonah.

Sophronia · 13/03/2019 05:08

Asa?

Haveacupofcoffee · 13/03/2019 05:25

I prefer Eesa to Ezra.

It’s a shame you’re using Michael as a middle name as I came on to suggest Micah. Think it works really well with Noah.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 13/03/2019 08:08

I love Ezra.
