DH is Jewish & we have a very Jewish-sounding surname so looking at Hebrew names which work with Noah. Middle name will 100% be Michael.

Eesa - I LOVE this name but is it too out there?

Ezra - the safer version of Eesa I feel. DH not completely convinced yet (gave it a solid 7/10 Hmm)

Thoughts?

I know a Noah & Isaac

girlinawhirl · 13/03/2019 10:47

I love Ezra, I really wanted it but husband felt it wasn't appropriate as we're not Jewish.

happytobemrsg · 13/03/2019 11:18

What about Asa??

Asa is great.
I prefer it to Ezra, which I like but which is surging in popularity although it's not exactly common.

also Ira?

NunoGoncalves · 13/03/2019 14:44

Isn't Eesa just a modern phonetic spelling of the actual name Isa? I prefer Isa!

But I prefer Asa over both. Great name.

happytobemrsg · 13/03/2019 15:22

I love Asa... DH isn’t keen

I like Eesa and Asa! Also really like Ira. What about Ethan, Seth or Jude?

Aquamarine1029 · 14/03/2019 02:31

Asa. 100%

MadCatEnthusiast · 14/03/2019 03:21

Zechariah with any of its derivatives? It goes with Noah imo

SheChoseDown · 14/03/2019 09:07

He'll be one of 8 other Ezras in toddler group /school.
Eesa is beautiful! Absolutely use this name 😍😍😍

Originofstars · 14/03/2019 09:11

How about Arie?

NunoGoncalves · 14/03/2019 12:07

He'll be one of 8 other Ezras in toddler group /school

Seems unlikely. There were 80 more popular names last year. There will be more Hunters, Ronnies, Bobbys and Jaydens than Ezras.

Daniel
Joseph
Jacob
Reuben
Levi
Benjamin
Daniel
... essentially every character from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat

I like Ezra and agree with pp that Noah and Ezra sounds good together

Cockadoodledooo · 15/03/2019 19:15

I know a Noah with siblings Isaac and Elijah.
I haven't seen Eesa spelt that way, presuming it is of the same origin as Isa?

happytobemrsg · 16/03/2019 08:53

While I still love Asa DH is convinced he would be confused with a tree or laptop Hmm so it’s looking likely to be Ezra Michael!

I don’t think you have to be Jewish to use the name girlinawhirl. My nail technician just named her little boy Ezra & she’s not Jewish

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 16/03/2019 09:05

I like Ezra, Asa, Micah (could that not be for the Michael you are referencing in the middle name)

Blondie87 · 16/03/2019 11:28

How about Amos?
