Saw film with leading character with this name (A Star Is Born).
Really liked the name. What do you think?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bellaposey · 01/03/2019 20:17

It's really common and (sorry) it sounds it.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 01/03/2019 20:26

No sorry. It’s a surname for a start.

Heffalelephant · 01/03/2019 20:26

Not a fan of the surnames as first names thing - sorry.

bridgetreilly · 01/03/2019 20:40

Stonewall?

CherryValance · 01/03/2019 20:43

I like it more than other surname names. Famous artist with the name too, so it's not just completely 21st century. Can be shortened to Jack if wanted. Also I know someone with a nice one.

afrikat · 01/03/2019 20:44

I love it

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 01/03/2019 20:45

Sounds like the troublesome child in the class

Camellia5 · 01/03/2019 20:46

I know a Jaxon

dreichuplands · 01/03/2019 20:58

It's a bit modern for me but if you like it use it.

SweetButaPsycho · 01/03/2019 21:03

I know a couple of Jaxon's that were named after sons of anarchy character. I quite like it.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 01/03/2019 21:08

Patti Smith had a son called Jackson and wrote the most lovely song about him when he was small, I've consequently always felt rather warmly towards the name!

Lpc1994 · 01/03/2019 21:09

My little boys called jackson its gotten a bit more common over the years we call him jax for short Grin

itsabongthing · 01/03/2019 21:11

Have you considered spelling it Jaxon or Jakson?

Sophronia · 01/03/2019 21:11

I don’t mind it as long as it’s spelled Jackson and not Jaxon or Jaxson.

itsabongthing · 01/03/2019 21:12

Oops cross post!
Would have been tres awkward had I been being serious...

ThursdayLastWeek · 01/03/2019 21:14

Prefer Jack.

There’s a trillion Jackson’s where I am.
And Harrisons too.

cptartapp · 01/03/2019 21:15

I vaccinate a lot of babies.
Would avoid this name like the plague.

palomapear · 01/03/2019 21:16

Michael Jackson?

It's a surname.

Peachbubble · 01/03/2019 21:23

Loads of baby Jackson/Jaxons around atm

E20mom · 01/03/2019 21:25

Massively popular American name

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 01/03/2019 21:41

Please don't spell it with an x!!!

OhHolyJesus · 01/03/2019 21:43

Will always make me think of Michael Jackson and not in a good way.

NotMyUsualTopBilling · 01/03/2019 21:48

I don't really have strong feelings on it either way, I know a few of them. If you like it use it.

Prefer Jackson to Jaxon though.

RosieCockle · 01/03/2019 21:48

As in Michael the paedo? No.

llangennith · 01/03/2019 21:49

Jackson is ok but please don't use alternative weird spelling like Jakxon, Jaxon or Jakson. All in use locally Confused
