Jessica is nice.
Can't stand Arthur, sorry..

MikeUniformMike · 01/03/2019 19:05

Both great.

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 19:07

Aw arthur is after my husbands grandad.

Hollowvictory · 01/03/2019 19:08

Not arthur

NuffSaidSam · 01/03/2019 19:11

Both nice. I don't love either of them, but they're both good names.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 01/03/2019 19:12

Love Arthur, and also the Art shortening.

IMO Jessica is really boring, a non-name, like Hannah.

Quietplace19 · 01/03/2019 19:13

Jessica is lovely, Arthur is pretty grim sorry.

FaceLikeAPairOfTits · 01/03/2019 19:13

Posted too soon.

Nothing wrong with Jessica, it’s not weird or anything, it’s just (IMO) meh.

Disfordarkchocolate · 01/03/2019 19:14

I like both a lot, are you having middle names?

Gobletoffire · 01/03/2019 19:14

I like Arthur, and the fact it has sentimental meaning to you makes a good choice.

Not overly keen on Jessica, just feels a bit 90s to me.

AdaColeman · 01/03/2019 19:15

Both are lovely, Arthur is fab!

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 19:23

See i was set on Jessica. I've had a list for years and it's always been the top! But then I met a Jessica and she ate with her mouth open and it's put me off! My husband really liked it when I suggested it and now it's his top name he doesn't pick any names I suggest over it.

I quite like Poppy because she would be poppy Pxxx and I think it sounds cool
Middle name for Arthur is Sydney which would be after my lovely grandad.
Not sure about middle names for a girl. Maybe Lynn or Evelyn but not thought too much about it.

Smileymoon · 01/03/2019 19:29

I love Sydney and also Poppy!

RuthW · 01/03/2019 19:44

Arthur is lovely but very very popular. Jessica is my least favourite name ever.

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 19:47

Oh really Ruth? I do like it, i actually love Jessica in True Blood!
I'm not too worried about how popular names are, doesn't bother me really although I dont know any big or little Arthur's!

OP posts:
AdaColeman · 01/03/2019 19:47

I prefer Jessica to Poppy.

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 19:50

Ok so not horrific feedback! That's good anyway :D

OP posts:
PeppermintCactus · 01/03/2019 19:51

Like them both! Not a fan of Poppy.

OhTheRoses · 01/03/2019 19:53

I think they are both lovely names. Arthur was on our list 20 years ago. TBF prefer Merlin or Gawain now.

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 19:55

Oh interesting so people not fond of poppy!
Maybe I need to go back and watch more true blood to fall in love with Jessica again :)

OP posts:
OhTheRoses · 01/03/2019 20:12

Again, loved Poppy 20 years ago :).

Other names on our list were:

Oscar
Oliver
Hector

Imogen
Alice
Louisa

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 01/03/2019 20:14

Arthur is nice.

Jessica is very 90’s.

Ribbonsonabox · 01/03/2019 20:16

I love Arthur.
I reckon Jessica will be quite unusual now days and so I'd go for it over poppy which I think alot of kids are called.

FairyMoppings · 01/03/2019 20:17

Sorry, I don't like any of them. Arthur - yuck. Jessica - meh. Poppy - too sweet & sickly.

But I do like Jesse for a boy.

Whisky2014 · 01/03/2019 20:18

So really that's 30 years ago think it's due to come back :D I'll be the trend setter hehe
