What are people’s opinions on this name please? Any suggestions on similar names? DH loves it, I’m 50/50 but it’s the only name we’ve agreed on at all so far. Clock is ticking & I’m feeling the pressure!

I like, it was my Nana’s name and I have very positive feeling towards it :)

sheldonstwin · 28/02/2019 20:51

I like Constance but not Connie.

Abcdefuck · 28/02/2019 20:54

It’ll be inevitably shortened to Connie @sheldonstwin

Yes, I guess so!

SnuggyBuggy · 28/02/2019 20:57

I quite like it, it's unusual without being silly

Abcdefuck · 28/02/2019 20:58

A little girl called Connie sounds sweet to me, but an adult called Connie seems a little bit molly??

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/02/2019 20:59

Molly?

BlueMerchant · 28/02/2019 21:00

Connie is ok. Don't like the full Constance.
It's not to my taste.I wouldn't choose it.

Angeladelight · 28/02/2019 21:00

I really like it. Once Connie is an adult, she can chose to go by Constance or a different nickname

Mmmhmmokdear · 28/02/2019 21:02

Thumbs up from me OP. I know an adult Connie, never thought it was too babyish / girlish tbh.

Easterbuns1 · 28/02/2019 21:02

I love it. It's on my list but dp hates it.

Thesearmsofmine · 28/02/2019 21:03

I’ve always loved Constance/Connie, I used to look after an adorable little girl with this name(15 years ago!)

Abcdefuck · 28/02/2019 21:06

Sorry molly (where I’m from) means a bit unfashionable/dated

What else is on your list @Easterbuns1 Grin

Connie is a gorgeous name. Constance sounds like a maiden aunt.

LesLavandes · 28/02/2019 21:10

Love it

JaretsGirlfren · 28/02/2019 21:10

Gorgeous, was DP’s mums name

chocolatecake08 · 28/02/2019 21:12

My sister is called connie jean, i love it

RainbowMum11 · 28/02/2019 21:12

I love it, used nn Nancy though.

WildCherryBlossom · 28/02/2019 21:18

Nn Nancy is an excellent suggestion. Or how about Prudence, in a similar vein.

Connie sounds too similar to Conyo to my ear. And with Spanish being the 2nd most spoken language in the world, well worth avoiding.

BettyButtercup · 28/02/2019 21:24

I love it!

DramaAlpaca · 28/02/2019 21:25

It's a big yes from me. I love it.

Easterbuns1 · 28/02/2019 21:28

@Abcdefuck Elizabeth is top of my list, I also love Agnes and Alexandra. Girls names are really hard!

My boys list is pretty traditional too. William, James, Cameron, Daniel, Fraser etc.

Dp has very different tastes...

Abcdefuck · 28/02/2019 21:30

@chocolatecake08 does your sister like her name? Middle name will be Jean ironically... after DP’s nan who passed away days before we found out I was pregnant.

@Easterbuns1 it’s tough isn’t it? Especially as this is our second girl in less than 2 years! Good luck naming baby! When are you due?
