I’m writing a project for my creative writing club. I want to give one of the characters (female) a very OTT American name. Her brothers are called Boston and Becket!

Suggestions please! The crazier the better!

Why is it acceptable to pick on American names?

BartonHollow · 07/02/2019 21:28

No ones picking on them, they positively want a noticeably American name for a fictional character

@mimibunz comments like that will get you banned. Not cool. Really not cool.

lljkk · 08/02/2019 14:23

Nevaeh, Aleisha, Marcela, Brittany.
Lots of biblical choices, really.

Mmmhmmokdear · 08/02/2019 14:24

Bobbi-Anne

If you want a Southern US name, then go for a double barreled one. If you want a more North East then choose one that is gender neutral
MidWest more traditional. Californian then traditional with a ‘legally blond’ twist. If African American, then its a whole different ball game.

Southern
Bobbi - Rae
Maggie - Lyn

North East
Avery
Noa
Addison

Mid West
Molly
Claire
Brooke

California
Bradlee
Kayden
Larkin

wireswireswires What’s not cool is the pointless American bashing. Wind your neck in.

wireswireswires · 08/02/2019 16:42

@mimibunz I'm actually American and have no clue what you're talking about! I'm the first to report and get upset about America bashing.

Calling people 'english twats' is hardly taking the higher ground or appropriate even if there was US bashing going on. Honestly I'd be surprised if you didnt get a ban warning for that. You certainly would if you'd said 'Indian women are twats.'

I won't wind my neck in, your post was vile.

wireswireswires · 08/02/2019 16:43

If English women are all twats why on earth are you posting on a British site where the majority of people are British women?! Confused

Calzone · 08/02/2019 16:49

Bristol sounds great but could be confusing with the boys names.

Addison
Melinda

HalfBloodPrincess · 08/02/2019 16:49

I’m stealing Delaney for my girls list - it’s a really lovely name!

wireswireswires · 08/02/2019 16:53

Dakota is nice and getting more popular too.

origamiunicorn · 08/02/2019 16:56

Brandi-Lynn? Love the idea of them all have B names

SemperIdem · 15/02/2019 01:39

If we’re leaning more towards Gossip Girl in vibe and want to keep the B theme, then surely it has to be Blair?

GlitterPixie · 15/02/2019 01:47

Paige
Brooklyn
Kaitlyn
Madison
Britney
Avery
Harper
Blair
