Hanna is definitely my favourite

Lovingbenidorm · 14/01/2019 02:43

Sorry, Hannah!

Buntybearbess · 14/01/2019 02:48

Tara is a dogs name. My sisters pug is Tara.

Lara could work, it's nicer than Maya but I defo prefer Hannah. Is it the A ending you like as there are lots of lovely names with a similar feel/ending.

BBInGinDrinking · 14/01/2019 02:57

Lara, without a doubt, but equal to Tara if Irish.

Not keen on Hannah. Used to love Maya -not Maia - but too many around now.

Good luck, OP.

Shadow1234 · 14/01/2019 03:12

Lara.

BusterGonad · 14/01/2019 03:50

I'm not keen on Hannah or Maya/Maia. Far too popular and I don't think they sound that nice either.

RainbowWaffles · 14/01/2019 04:32

Hannah

Instamom · 14/01/2019 05:07

Lara

I would avoid Maya due to pronounciation variations.

memaymamo · 14/01/2019 06:49

* Tara is a dogs name. My sisters pug is Tara.*

No... Fido is a dog's name. Tara is a girls' name, which your sister chose to use for her dog.

Lumpy76 · 14/01/2019 06:57

Well - my sister was Hannah and I am Lara 😊 I think both names are lovely.

Spagyetti · 14/01/2019 07:11

^^ Grin

Hannah or Lara. Both good names that have a timeless feel. I don't mind Tara but it does seem 1980s to me. Maia/Maya is nice enough but a bit over done at the moment, and doesn't have the straightforward spelling and pronunciation of Hannah and Lara.

SimplySteve · 14/01/2019 07:48

Maya for me. Or if you'd consider it - Mira/Myra.

TranmereRover · 14/01/2019 07:48

Lara then Tara

Inktank · 14/01/2019 07:53

Hannah

TigerQuoll · 14/01/2019 07:54

I like Lara best - there was a little girl on my school bus I made friends with and gave advice to called Lara (I wonder what she's doing now). My partner also thinks all nice girl's names need to have a combination of Es, As and Ls, and Lara is 75% these letters.

Hannah is nice - a classic. Impossible to dislike. Suits all ages from little girl to elderly woman.

Tara makes me think of a naughty girl, someone who is going to run her parents ragged running away from home with boys as a teenager.

HarrassedMumof3 · 14/01/2019 08:03

My daughter is Maya - May-a - and I don't know any others.

FranklinTheCat · 14/01/2019 08:05

Lara or Hannah. Both are lovely. Hannah sounds a bit more classic and Lara a bit fresher/more modern to me.

funmummy48 · 14/01/2019 08:05

Hannah. It's pretty & timeless.

Milasmummy · 14/01/2019 08:27

Thank you for the responses.
If I added celine/Selina to the list would there be a change in opinions?

OP posts:
SimplySteve · 14/01/2019 08:29

I do like Seline (but with a S instead of C).

Shadow1234 · 14/01/2019 08:31

no changes for me - still Lara

tammytoby · 14/01/2019 08:35

Celine is much nicer!

ShirleyPhallus · 14/01/2019 08:41

Celine is much nicer, mostly because all children of that age seem to have the same sounding name - your initial ideas

Btw celine keeps autocorrecting to feline so that might be something to watch!

RedDwarves · 14/01/2019 08:42

Hannah.

Not a fan of the others, but Hannah is beautiful.
