Opinions on Tiffany?

So it’s quite an 80s name now, don’t think it’s in top 100 so unlikely to be another at school?

When I hear Tiffany I think either Breakfast at Tiffany or the jewellery. OH thinks of Eastenders Tiffaneeeee said in a cockney accent 😂 is it tacky and chavvy?

I like it!

WhatASmashingBlouse · 05/01/2019 20:30

No.

WhatASmashingBlouse · 05/01/2019 20:31

Meaning no don't call your child Tiffany. It is tacky and chavvy.

Santaisfastasleepatlast · 05/01/2019 20:31

Dd is Tiffany. Only one we know. She loves it and it's never shortened.

moredoll · 05/01/2019 20:31

Don't like it as name, sorry. Loved the film.

LaBelleSausage · 05/01/2019 20:32

I’m not sure I could ever use a name with anyhing that sounds like ‘fanny’ in it Grin

Don’t think it’s ‘tacky or chavvy’ but because of the above it’s not one I’d ever consider.

People hate my sons name though, so if you like it, to hell with anyone else’s opinion

Jaz32 · 05/01/2019 20:40

@LaBelleSausage 😂😂😂 I never thought about it having fanny in it!
My OH hates it anyway so it’s a no go just wondered whether people thought it was classic or tacky lol

Dd has gotten to 12 without any derogatory name calling!!

LaBelleSausage · 05/01/2019 20:42

You can blame DH for that!
He’s ruined loads of names by pointing things like that out. I really liked the name Isabelle and he ruined it for my by pronouncing it Is-A-Bell ever time (he’s scouse, so Bell = Bellend to him)

Jaz32 · 05/01/2019 20:54

@LaBelleSausage my OH said the same about Annabelle (bell end) 🙄 men!

Tiffany Trump. Nuff said.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/01/2019 20:57

No, not keen.

bridgetreilly · 05/01/2019 20:58

I think we're alone now.

flumpybear · 05/01/2019 21:00

People will always make fun of names at school - I was called more constructive names like Spliff than fanny to be honest

MollyHuaCha · 05/01/2019 21:02

Awful name.

tryinganewname · 05/01/2019 21:11

I like it, I have a friend who's late 20s called Tiffany and she completely suits it.

BlancheM · 05/01/2019 21:14

I know a Tisiphone which is similar but 'naicer'

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 05/01/2019 21:22

I love it!

RedDwarves · 05/01/2019 21:23

Really don't like it. It also seems tacky to me, and I'm not sure why as neither Breakfast at Tiffany's or Tiffany & Co are tacky.

DianaBlythe · 05/01/2019 21:27

I’d be worried you’re setting yourself up for having to give expensive jewellery for milestone birthdays but other than that I think it’s perfectly fine to use!

BackoftheAdge · 05/01/2019 23:40

It reminds me of Tiffany from Eastenders and also the local strip club round here is called Tiffany’s Grin

Peachesandcream30 · 06/01/2019 16:53

Horrible! Really horrible. Like a stripper from an American comedy film.

weegiehere · 06/01/2019 17:01

I actually quite like it. Much better than all the Eva's and Ava's!

dalmatianmad · 06/01/2019 17:09

Awful chavvy name. Up there with Courtney and Chelsea 🙄

SuziQ10 · 06/01/2019 17:24

No way.
