I agree. But Romane is a popular French girls’s name.

Pronounced differently too. I was suggesting it as an alternative to Romaine.

My nephew is Remi, but everyone else I have heard of with that name is a girl, and most people think it's odd for a boy (ie. think of it as girls name by default). We're in Oz, so maybe that is some of the difference in viewpoint?

Romy sounds like roomy - like an adjective...same as Romily.
How about Lorelei?

Romy is more classic and beautiful. Remy sounds too Kardashian for me
