Sister for Astrid

Hello all,

I’d be really grateful for opinions on the following as names for Astrid Iona’s wee sister !

We love old names. I’m Scottish and DH has Norwegian heritage (distant), we have a Norwegian surname starting with an “Oar” sound.... first names ending in consonants are much easier to say when running into our surname...

I love Astrid!! dh not for it though! wee have a Maggie here and looking for girls names that go with it, and I really like reading these suggestions.

Brianna: Bitchy name
Arwen: Pretty
Ramona (DH not fully sold on this...): Ugh
Corinne/Coryn: Pretty
Yvaine: Seriously???
Merryn: O_o
Marnie: Dog's name.

Nova? Sticking with the theme

Tabitha Fae would be lovely. Tabitha means "graceful" while Fae means "from the faeries".

My niece is Synnøve: it means gift of the sun.

I think Corinne is the nicest. Corin is a boy's name.

Ursula came straight to mind egg. I saw the OP, but Elin and Merryn are 2 of my most favourite girls names.
