What does everyone think? I'm pretty set and love it too bits for son but just wondering what general thoughts are? I don't think it's something that can be made fun of etc, apart from the obvious 'hey jude' but that's not a bad thing!

Oh dear, Hey Jude. The most boring Beatles song ever recorded. Not for me I'm afraid. And to me its rather girly for a boy.

JoyfulMystery · 18/10/2018 07:42

I like it. It seems quite common in these parts, but they’re all older.

Polkasq · 18/10/2018 07:50

It's fine.

QueenOfMyWorld · 18/10/2018 07:51

No child of your son's generation would know hey Jude so I think it's fine

Smarshian · 18/10/2018 07:56

I absolutely love Jude. We very nearly picked it for our son (it was a close second)

PramFace2018 · 18/10/2018 08:02

Lovely name, I'd consider it if I had another son

LotsToThinkOf · 18/10/2018 08:03

Lots of Judes round here, but it's a lovely name.

Justanothermile · 18/10/2018 08:48

Blimey, folk can be blunt on MN!!

Jude is lovely, I love it for both sexes.

BetterEatCheese · 18/10/2018 08:50

Dd has a 7 year old Jude in her school. Love it

EvieV28 · 18/10/2018 08:53

It's a nice name!

HoraceWimpIsThisYourLife · 18/10/2018 08:56

I’ve heard it us d quite a bit but I still like it v

hellsbells552 · 18/10/2018 09:24

Love it.

Cosmoa · 18/10/2018 09:30

Love the name Jude and love the song Hey Jude too! Definitely not the most boring Beatles song...

greendale17 · 18/10/2018 09:30

I like it

WitsEnding · 18/10/2018 09:36

Lots here too, and all kids know 'Hey Jude'. The older set are also familiar with 'Jude the Obscure' (a gory and unpleasant tale) and St Jude the patron saint of lost causes. At the end of the day it's your choice based on the associations the name has for you.

OutPinked · 18/10/2018 09:52

It’s my DS’s name. He’s eight and still remains the only one in his school which is great. I personally love the song.

EssentialHummus · 18/10/2018 10:03

I like it. He may get "Judy" btw.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 18/10/2018 10:07

I love Jude but DH was really against it.

KeysHairbandNotepad · 18/10/2018 10:08

It's lovely.

deptfordgirl · 18/10/2018 10:41

I like it and wanted it for ds. It is very common around here though.

IzzyGrey · 18/10/2018 10:46

Hey Jude is a great song and Jude is a great name!

Cbeebiesrehab · 18/10/2018 11:00

It’s my son’s name.
Never been called ‘Judy’
Ranked 50th in charts so not overly popular.
St Jude is a lovely namesake imo-it’s who you turn to when you feel all hope is lost, and he provides you with the strength to carry on. In my eyes-that’s one hero of a saintWink
Also, Hey Jude is a great song.
I’m not biased at all-obviouslyGrin

RavenWings · 18/10/2018 11:09

It's one of my pet hates name wise, tbqh. I think the sound is horrible.

AlliKaneErikson · 18/10/2018 11:29

I knew a really cool Jude in college and have loved the name since. I think it’s a great choice.

Livpool · 18/10/2018 12:03

I love it!
