Roll up! Roll up! All those unashamed to be inappropriately obsessing about a new Royal baby name welcome here!

As Harry and his desecendants are rapidly becoming outnumbered by the Cambridge side of the family they have much less to worry about in terms of a suitable name for a monarch, therefore, within reason they can be bit more free and creative, but still relatively formal.

I wish we could place bets but in the meantime I invite you to have a REALISTIC stab at naming the new Sussex baby.

We can have Stacie (Anastasia) or Fred (Frederick) but I will go with

Girl: Alexandra
Boy: Leo

1 boys name and 1 girls name each please no massive lists of Royals since Ethelbert!

More modern I think, and obviously some standard American names may be less common over here. Maybe...

Frederick
Holly

Out of interest, will the child be Honourable or Prince/ss or what?

Do you think they'd use Diana as a first name? I know Charlotte has it as a middle name.

Alexandra/Alexandria for a girl

I'm calling Charlie (Charles) for a boy

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 15/10/2018 22:11

Girl: Victoria
Boy; Spencer

I think female middle names will honour their mothers and boy middle names perhaps honouring Prince Philip.

Also, I think it’s a girl.

Diana
Albert

I also think the baby is a girl too, have no idea why!

Charles for a boy given that Meghan seems to have developed a good rapport with him.

Girl is harder: Alice Diana. Should the Queen die before the baby arrives, a girl would then be Elizabeth.

Butterymuffin I was also of the same opinion with Megs and Charles getting on so well, thinking they could go for Charlie. On the other hand the baby is likely to see a King Charles in their lifetime and we don't know yet if he will be a popular King, so I think safest to steer clear... maybe Charles as a middle name.

Less royal, maybe Dorothy or Rebecca. Samuel or Thomas.

Cats wouldn't it be, Prince Neil, the baby?
