Do you know any Hazel's??

I prefer DC's being the only one with their name in their classes (sorry to be one of them!Confused) it's just a personal preference.

I've really took a liking to the name Hazel but I've heard it numerous times in films, books etc. But I've never heard of one in real life.

So, do you know any? Do you think it's a fairly popular name? Do you like it/have any negative connotations? Grin

Its lovely. I know 2, both in their early 40s.

My cousins baby is called hazel. She is almost 2. It’s a gorgeous name.

Cattenberg · 07/10/2018 22:57

Yes, she's six. A bright, funny little girl.

I also met a teenage Hazel a few years ago. She must be in her early 20s now. I like the name. It's from nature and it's classic and unfussy but not too commonly used.

I know a Hazel the same age as me (37) and one in her early 60s. Nice name.

My daughter has a friend called Hazel and there is one other i am aware of at her primary school. I know one in her 70s too. It's a lovely name.

My daughter's year has one Chloe, Sophie, Lily, Harry and Jack - and two Rivers. I'd choose the name because you love it and not worry if anyone has the same name.

My mums name!

WindDoesNotBreakTheBendyTree · 08/10/2018 15:50

one in her 60s
a ten year old
a four year old

It's gorgeous but unlikely to ever reach Isabelle/Eleanor/Eva levels of saturation

I know one, 23. Nickname Hazza (but only by me Grin) it's lovely

My mum was a Hazel - she'd be 91 now. Beautiful deep auburn hair that turned to a lovely coconut matting colour as she aged. And she was covered in freckles. Her name suited her perfectly

Waterstonian · 08/10/2018 20:01

I’ve only ever met one - she’ll be 19 now and was in dd1’s class at school.

MintyCedric · 08/10/2018 23:42

Three, none of them youngsters, but all of them utterly fabulous!

madeoficecream · 08/10/2018 23:44

yes I know one 30yo, one 50yo and an 11yo... but no younger children

Pigeonpost · 08/10/2018 23:46

I know three. One is 9, two in their 50's.

ABitOTT · 08/10/2018 23:46

The only Hazel I know is 85 years old and hates her name.

I'm a Hazel 🙋🏼 I was the only one in my class at school and there was only one other in my whole secondary. That being said, I'm in my twenties and it does seem a lot more common for little ones now. I do cringe a little with how popular it's getting, it's rather nice being a novelty 🤗
