Anyone here named their DC after a character? Or was tempted to?

I named dd2 after a character on a tv show. I still love the show and the name.

If we were expecting a girl, oh wanted to call her Evie. After the Pokemon.

Kind of the oposite... almost. Dh wanted to call our first born Woody after Woody Guthrie. I vetoed it because I didn't want everyone to assume we had named him after Toy Story.

My daughter is named afterboth a Jsne Austen heroine and a fairly obscure character in The Lord of the Rings (spelt a little differently)

Mine is named after a DC universe superhero - civilian name not superhero name though

DS2 is named after a British character on a US tv show.

her full name is a fully legit girl name, but my automatic mental image from nickname is either a (funny) dude with a beard or a killer bassline

One of my girls has the name of a character from my favourite TV show .... Not on purpose ! But because everyone knows how much I love the TV show , I was asked A LOT if that's who she was named after. She wasn't, I just loved the name

My name was partly inspired by a Daphne Du Maurier book. DD shares her name with an awesome character from NCIS (although not entirely inspired by it, I love the connection).

I did have a thing about calling her Bellatrix when I was pregnant but DH was having none of it!

I'm named after a character from a sci-fi show. he's a guy, I'm a girl.
When I announced my daughters name, a few friends said 'ah yes, because you like the books: --, and - and like from the tv series ---' so even though she wasn't intentionally named from them, there's definitely a link that has been made!

Kintan, isn't Arwen a Welsh name? But yeah I loved it in Tokien's books.
