I was convinced we were having a girl (remember the ‘Honey’ thread!)? Anyway baby arrived and it’s a boy! We have narrowed down a few names, hubby wants something ‘normal’ whereas I would prefer him not to share a name with multiple other boys at school.

Austin
Jaxon
Arlo
Hunter
Buddy
Noah

Phoenix? Congratulations by the way

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 31/08/2018 15:14

Austin is way cool

starkid · 31/08/2018 16:11

Noah is my favourite but very popular, so second favourite is Austin.

Congratulations!

Austin - surprisingly I like it, I know a good looking man with this name
Jaxon - stupid
Arlo - bit wishy washy
Hunter - it's a surname
Buddy - stupid
Noah - meh ok

Congrats on your little squish

What about Christian or Sebastian

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 31/08/2018 17:41

If you don't want hIm to be 1 of 10 in the Class as lovely as it is I'd scratch Noah.
Jaxon isn't my usual type of name but I do quite like it. That being said though even if I was graced with 10 boys it wouldn't even feature in my top 20. It is like Noah also very popular.
I don't get the hype about Arlo, sorry. It makes me think of milk.
Hunter. Probably the perfect name for you.
It's certainly not over used and you obviously like it if you have short listed it.
Buddy is adorable on a baby and up until he's say 10. However not so much on an adult. I always recall someone on here saying and there has never been a truer statement posted. "You're naming and personal not a baby.
Austin See Hunter.
Other names you may like.
Huxley. Todd Lorcan. Lachlan. Conrad. Cooper.

Congratulations btwFlowers

Congratulations!

My favourites are Austin and Noah but neither are that unusual, how about Aston or Nolan? I prefer Milo to Arlo.

bridgetreilly · 31/08/2018 21:49

The thing is that all your choices are very trendy, so he is at least as likely to end up in a class with other boys of the same name as if you give him a more classic name.

DramaAlpaca · 31/08/2018 22:02

I like Austin a lot, but I'm not keen on any of the others.

moredoll · 31/08/2018 22:54

Noah

PenelopeThePufferfish · 01/09/2018 09:58

Jackson is lovely! Jaxon isn’t, imo.

If you hate the Jackson spelling then, of your list, I’d go for Arlo. It’s sweet for a little boy but nice for an adult too. I prefer Jackson though I think.

Congratulations Flowers.

Austin is lovely. Call him this!!

Jaxon, Arlo, Hunter and Noah are all very popular. Not my taste as well. They'll age really badly, as in they'll become the names of the era.

Buddy is a dog's name. Too twee for a person.

WhereIsMyDressingGown · 01/09/2018 11:37

And with a name like Jaxon, Arlo, Hunter or Noah, his name won't be different. They'll be others boys in his class with these names.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/09/2018 18:58

💙 Austin Hunter.

MikeUniformMike · 02/09/2018 19:18

Austin - maybe
Jaxon - no
Arlo - no
Hunter - maybe
Buddy - no
Noah - yes
