I'd say probably Lyla, Lila(h) could get pronounced as lee-la

RavenWings · 19/08/2018 14:34

Personally I think Lilah looks best.

SmilingButClueless · 19/08/2018 14:38

How about Lylah?

NotAgainYoda · 19/08/2018 14:57

Lila

BigBlueBubble · 19/08/2018 15:10

Lylah looks a bit like a “yooneek” spelling. As far as I know it’s normally spelled Lila or Lilah. I think both would be pronounced the way you want.

moredoll · 19/08/2018 16:41

Lilah or Lila

AuntieStella · 19/08/2018 16:45

Lila (as in the chocolate bar) but I think that spelling is pronounced other ways too, so Lyla might work better.

pipilangstrumpf · 19/08/2018 16:57

I would pronounce Lylah with a longer ah sound whereas Lyla is just Ly-la.

thegreylady · 19/08/2018 17:11

Leila I think

pipilangstrumpf · 19/08/2018 17:19

Leila like Sheila?

LimpidPools · 19/08/2018 17:20

Lila is German for purple and pronounced Lee-la. German speakers will always read it that way, but non-German speakers probably won't.

I'm a German-speaker and I'd probably go with Lyla for that reason.

I'd read Laila as Lay-la. And anything with h on the end looks yooneek and makes me think Aah, like a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.

grasspigeons · 19/08/2018 17:22

Lilah

Ohyesiam · 19/08/2018 17:24

Leila

berylmeryl · 19/08/2018 17:29

Lyla

Leila is lay-la and Lila is Lee-la

Greeneyedgeek83 · 19/08/2018 17:37

Lilah is my favourite.

Icklepup · 19/08/2018 17:37

Lila, like in German

Icklepup · 19/08/2018 17:40

Oh, I thought you put lee-la.. Lila would be said like that in German. For lie-la I would have it Lilah
