Neighbour's daughter is Lyla, def pronounced Lie-la. Child corrects if you pronounce it Lay-la (presumably spelt Leila or Layla).
I'm not a fan, Lie-la brings back shuddery memories of Lilo-Lil from 80s tv, and Lay-la, well I don't like the song.
