Final decision on triplet names please?

Hello,

It's our final decision (maybe?) on our triplet boy names,
please help me decide which ones you like the best. Suggestions or thoughts are very appreciated. Opinions are gladly received. Our final list is;

Alexander, Edmund and Theodore
Augustus, Edmund and Theodore
Augustus, Alexander and Theodore
Stephen, Edmund and Theodore
or Stephen, Alexander/Augustus and Theodore

We keep struggling with these names indeed, so please help. I would like to know your opinions and thoughts. Which ones are nicer? I'm very open to any suggestions and ideas. You can give us your honest views please. (We don't choose Edward instead of Edmund because we have Edward in our social circle. Also Augustus, but I somehow still can't drop off this name.)

Feel free to choose or suggest.
Thank you so much!

Alexander, Stephen, Theodore is my fave combo

DragonCat · 17/08/2018 23:02

Stephen, Augustus and Alexander. Don't like Theodore

Theunmumsymummy · 18/08/2018 10:20

Alexander and Theodore can be shortened to Alex and Theo, which sounds nice but I'm not sure about the others. What matters is that you like it though.

susurration · 18/08/2018 10:34

Will theodore be a teddy or a theo? Because you run the risk of Eddy and Teddy otherwise (unless you like that?)

Alexander, Edmund and Theodore flow nicely though.

Mamabear4180 · 18/08/2018 13:12

Alexander, Edmund and Theodore (although prefer Edward).

These 3 make the best set of names and sound great together. Alex, Eddie and Theo. Although you could end up with 2 Ted's..

I wouldn't do Alexander, Augustus and Theodore or Theodore is the only one not starting in A!

I'm not keen on Augustus or Stephen personally.

MissT2095 · 18/08/2018 13:23

Love Alex, Ed and Theo.

Just hope you don't mind them shortening as it's inevitable with these names.

Good luck OP, you'll have your hands full!

Sorry I m’ve taken so long to reply. Thank you for all your replies, it’s geart to hear your opinions and suggestions! I’m very grateful for all your helps and votes, they help me a lot indeed.

Our little ones are due next week, but we still haven’t decided on the names yet. I like the idea of Alexander, Edmund and Theodore (the nn would be Alex, Eddie and Theo). Actually I was going to choose which combo will stay, but then DH suggested the names Alexander, Barnabas and Theodore nn Alex, Barney and Theo. What do you think about it? Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Anyway thank you for your kind supports and helps. I can’t thank all of you more!

Eddie gets my vote over Barney.

pipilangstrumpf · 19/08/2018 15:08

Definitely Barney! Cool and strong. Don't like Eddie.

Barnabas is a great name! I'm not sure if "goes" with Alexander and Theodore (especially in regards to popularity) but it's a great name. Nicer than Edmund in my personal opinion.

A woman with twins once told me that the name that started with letter at the back of the alphabet... This way teachers (and clubs etc) listed the younger one first and they were "Alex" and "Tommy" (those are random names, btw...) Whereas at home they always said the older twin's name first (so they were Tommy and Alex...)

I thought it was a really interesting idea :)
